the hotel is older, but clean and cozy. parking is in underground garages. the rooms are clean, the beds a little soft. I've been here before, but I'll be back again

This little hotel is an absolute gem, Being just a little hotel it delivered more than expected. Breakfast was the best we had on our travels this year.

The hotel is located on a quiet place, peferct location if you travel by car, own parking. The breakfast was very good and the personnel was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. .

Staying at Hotel Castrum during our visit to Grado was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The room were extremely comfortable and well air-conditioned, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel itself is new and modern, with a very convenient elevator that added to the ease of our stay. Its location in the heart of the old town was ideal—everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. At the same time, the hotel is tucked slightly off the main streets, so we were spared the noise and bustle, which made for peaceful evenings. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. A special thank you to the lovely Polish lady who showed us where to find a fantastic free beach and recommended a restaurant with the best Neapolitan pizza in town. Another staff member went out of her way to lend us her personal bottle opener when we needed one. These small but meaningful gestures made us feel so welcome and well cared for. We were also impressed with how the owners accommodated our need for secure parking, going out of their way to arrange it for us. The breakfasts were fantastic—everything was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the outdoor tables, savoring our meal under the open sky, surrounded by the charm of the Italian old town. As for Grado itself, the town is simply extraordinary—full of grace, elegance, character, and authentic charm. It’s a place that leaves a long lasting impression, and I truly hope to return one day. When I do, I will undoubtedly choose to stay at Hotel Castrum again. To the owners and staff, thank you so much for everything. Very good place, good breakfast, on one hand the old town, on the other the beach.

The location is great, there is a huge free public parking lot nearby the hotel with a huge possibility you will find a free space anytime. Nearest beach is 5 mins walking distance, city centar a bit longer walk through walking zone. Breakfast good enough. All perfect.
