Beautiful Ryokan in an old traditional building with a, lovely garden, right next to the sea. I enjoyed my stay right from the start with the warm welcome at check-in (owner could speak some English - thank you). The room was like the photos promised, a cosy futon waiting for me (there was also a tasty lemon treat in the fridge). Although small, the bath was nice and I could relax after a day of cycling. Breakfast was also delicious. Next time, I'll book dinner as well.

This hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. I stayed for three nights and don’t regret it. I wish I had ordered breakfast here as well because it looked delicious, I definitely will next time. The reception area looks elegant and upscale, with a pleasant, subtle scent throughout the facilities. The room service was excellent: I had plenty of towels and fresh, 100% cotton, comfortable pajamas provided every day. The bed was comfortable, and both the bath and bathroom were quite spacious, larger than the standard Japanese size, with a bigger sink and more overall space overall. I also really enjoyed the amenities, especially the excellent tea corner in my room and the fridge. Everything felt solid, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. I also ordered some stuff from Amaazon which the staff kindly took care of.

Atmosphere - very very nice/friendly people at the reception. - perfect located around 5-7 min away from the JR station / 5 min away from rent a bike service (if you want to cycle the shimanami kaido) + another 2 min to the ferry (start of shimanami kaido) + also senkoji temple is not to far away (just have to climb the steps) or take the ropeway (around 15 min to walk)

Seemingly recently opened, this hotel is a great option in the Mihara area. The price was very reasonable (especially during the Golden Week surge) and the location is hard to beat. The hotel is located less than 5 minutes walking distance from the station. If you are looking to enjoy Okunoshima then the ferry port is right behind the hotel (merely a two minute walk). The breakfast was buffet style with mostly Japanese options but some Western flair. The rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again!
