We arrived late, but staff was there waiting to receive us. Nalake and Manju ( sorry if I got the names wrong) very prompt with helping us. Always greeted us with a smile. We forgot to bring something, they were quick to help us get it from a shop for us. Breakfast was delicious, with good variety. Rooms very clean and looks new. Surrounding with lots of plants, looks green and refreshing. Kids enjoyed the pool. Location nearby to sigiriya rock and pidurangala. Couple of nearby restaurants with good local food. Good start of the holidays for us as a family!

Dinusha, the owner of Sunshine Villa, is a very kind and honest person. He took very good care of us. The food is delicious. The rooms are clean and nice. The bathroom is clean. He took an elephant safari for a reasonable price. Thanks for that especially. A scooter was given to see the village of Sigiriya. Thanks for the care. Highly recommend.

The hotel is new, so the room was very nice and clean. There is a terrace with a beautiful view of Lion’s Rock, where a tasty breakfast is served. The location is perfect, there are many restaurants nearby, and it’s quite close to the entrance to Lion’s Rock. The staff were very friendly and arranged a tuk-tuk for us early in the morning, as we wanted to climb Pidurangala Rock for the sunrise.

The hotel was amazing - super clean, new and had a great swimming pool. The manager, Bernard, was very helpful and friendly. He recommended places to visit and arranged all the transport for us. The breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

The Cottage Sigiriya was pure relaxation in the middle of the rainforest. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly (with a lovely welcome drink too!). The cottage was a large and comfortable bedroom, with bathroom and a front porch to sit on. The swimming pool was amazing, and the restaurant does food at any time of day. The staff attend to all of your needs and answer any questions, they can also arrange a tuktuk to go out to the town as it is a bit far (not really walkable) or they also have free bicycles to use. 100% recommendable- thankyou!

We stayed for 3 nights at Into the Wild and it was amazing. The staff is very hospitable and the rooms are clean. In the evening, you can have delicious cocktails while sitting at the bar and listening to background music. I would really recommend this stay at Into the Wild.

Really great hotel with clean and spacious bungalows and a lovely garden with all sorts of fascinating friendly animal visitors (monkeys, monitor lizards, peacocks, etc) and also a great pool to chill out. The bungalows are very clean and equipeed with AC and good shower and have a nice view of the garden. And also they are not to cramped together, the area is very spacious. We also enjoyed the homemade breakfast a lot. Closeby is also a very nice restaurant open until late with delicious food. We can definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in sigiriya!

    Amazing accomodation and the swimmingpool is the best as it can get very hot in Sigiriya. Very good, local breakfast was served every morning. The location was perfect as well - it is possible to walk to the city centre during the day. I would definitely recommend!

    Location, staff was very nice and welcoming, nice garden, good pool. Hotel restaurant provided not only breakfast, but also lunch and dinner. The hotel owner helped with organising transfer, tuk tuk and jeep safari for very good prices.

    Lovely small resort with 5 cottages, restaurant and pool area. Quiet location in a jungle feeling. Very kind and helpful staff, assisting in arranging transportation or anything else you may need. Free bikes to rent. A 10 min Tuktuk ride to the “city center” will cost about 1000 Rs. Breakfast was either Sri Lankan (curry, grasshoppers, roti) or western (toast, scrambled eggs and jam).

    Stunning location, lovely pool and comfortable rooms, but what makes this place so special is the host and staff. We felt so well taken care of, our trips were organised at a good price, the food was fab…. If you are in Sigiriya then book here, you will not be disappointed.
