We want to say big thank to the owner and all the stuff in the villa, especialy Lahiru, which care about us and ours needs here. The villa is a little bit out off bigger village, but close to the several beaches. There are few restaurants in walking distance also. Accomodation is exactly as in pictures. Nice, comfortable and good equiped for 2 people. Villa offer one bedroom with comfortable bed, A/C and fan is here. Nice bathroom have everything ( hair dryer, shampoon, conditioner and all other stuff). Outdoor kitchen is connected with outdoor seating area with a view on pool. Breakfast were excellent ( european or sri lankan every with fresh fruit and Hubice, coffee or tea ). You can order lunch or dinner, some refreshment here also. We spent here quality time. Entire villa is private with Lahiru or some other stuff here.

The property was located just 10 minutes away from the beach and although there were many activities to do within the property we just stayed in and relaxed most of the time as we were the only guests. The accommodation units had been refurbished for the season and the roof of the dining area was being rethatched with Talipot palms whilst we were there. This was a very interesting experience for us and we appreciate the degree of attention required to maintain an eco lodge. We had the most amazing Ayurvedic message, which is the best I’ve had so far! Everything was looking very green as there had been a lot of rain recently. The road to the property was a bit bumpy and muddy due to the recent rain but our tuk handled it fine. It is a very large property and part of it is quite wild, I believe intentionally, as the owners are interested in preserving most of the natural foliage in the property for the benefit of the wildlife. They have also planted many medicinal, fruit and flowering plants and have many plants for butterflies. We saw thousands ! The highlight for us was seeing and feeding the goats they have on the property, this was truly a unique experience for us. The food was delicious, and some of it is organically grown in the property. We had a super relaxing stay at Back of Beyond Wellness retreat in Tangalle Sri Lanka and highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet stay close to nature. It is not meant for those who like crowds or a lot of activity.

This is the best stay during our Sri Lanka trip - the hotel opened two months ago, it is located close to everything in Tangalle, also right on the seaside, with a private sandy beach and a lovely little pool (which is cleaned every day). The staff os super kind and caring, they made sure that our stay is comfortable and took care of all our needs while we were here. Nice Sri Lankan breakfast is available that is prepared by a great chef. Air conditioning works perfectly well, also the bathroom has both a shower and a bath tub. The hotel has a generator so power cuts did not effect our stay. What's more the price value ratio is also excellent - you get way more from the staff and the hotel that you pay for. I highly recommend the place for anyone - we were here with our 2 year old baby (for whom the lovely staff prepared an exra bed so that he stays comfortable).

What a gem of a place. Unbeatable views from the room, quiet, peaceful and fully relaxing. Staff is really helpful and friendly. Chef cooked up some serious dishes that were really delicious and of course - they make pizza! Room is so cozy, both the bathroom and the room had perfect natural lightning. Bed is comfy and big.
