Everything was amazing. The room was big and modern and the hospitality was above and beyond. The best breakfast we’ve had in Sri Lanka and an extra plus was the swimming pool. We booked the safari through them as well which made the process so easy. 100% recommend.

Leels safari cottage, a pocket of paradise. we spontaneously booked our stay here for 2 nights in hopes to do a safari. We’ve been travelling Sri Lanka for over a month now and I can say this has been the nicest place we have stayed at. The pictures are exactly like the place which we were so pleased about, the room its self is beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful layout and decoration with the blessing of air con and a fan. They also supply mosquito nets, this was the first place we weren’t bitten once! As for the bathroom it’s wonderful, full of plants with an rainforest vibe. It’s all so clean and well stocked with a kettle, wardrobe, shelf’s and great mirrors. The attention to detail is amazing you can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this place. The lighting is lovely giving it a cosy feel. We had breakfast included and added on dinner for both nights as the food was too good! Cooked by the loveliest ladies who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. So much selection for both breakfast and dinner really yummy and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax but also seek adventure. We woke up early one morning to go for a run, the area is lovely everybody smiles and says hello. and the views are really beautiful with thriving nature. We went to an elephant orphanage near by, luckily they know people for transport etc and Leel suggested this activity for us, we didn’t know about this place prior our visit! But so glad we went it was amazing! Our second day was Safari day, we were delighted that Leel himself is one of the greatest safari tour drivers, so we set off early in the morning and embarked on our safari around Udawalawe. I know it will be one of my favourite memories we are really grateful for Leel and his dedication to make sure we had the best time and see as many beautiful animals as possible! Cottage located in the peacful area surronded by nature, we were hosted by a very friendly family. Pasindu and his wife made sure that we are comfortable and are not lacking anything. We also enjoyed tasty home made food for dinners and breakfast in large amounts, there was always more than we could eat ;) The cottage itself was also comfortable, not lacking anything, there was even a hair dryer. It was also possible to get a breakfast as a take away for early Safari, which was important to us. The family was also helpful with advice about area. Out of all our stays in Sri Lanka so far this was definitely most special.

Everything about this property was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful. Much better than expected. The most impressive aspect was the staff. Each and every member of staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They thought of everything, even the maintenance and room staff were so thoughtful. There was nothing they wouldn't do, including the chef preparing a complete Sri Lankan banquet for our family, even though it wasn't on the menu. The team made this trip memorable for all the right reasons. I highly recommend visiting this hotel/resort. Special thanks to Davey and the restaurant staff for making us feel welcome and very happy!

Everything was really great at this place. The rooms a very luxurious, clean and with love to detail. The balcony invited for some beautiful evening sit in. So quiet here aswell. Very close to the Udawalawe national park and the staff is just so friendly. The food Lalith cooked for us was real Sri Lankan cuisine and tasted better than everything we tried here before. Highly recommend this place
