The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and they were able to provide answers to all our questions about everything we wanted to do around San Ignacio. The only thing to note is that the hotel is a little outside of the town so you might need a car to get into the town, it’s about a 5-10 minute drive so not bad at all. Most tours will also pick you up from the hotel if needed.

The room was spacious and very comfortable and we loved the privacy of our own little cabin. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We rented a car in Belize City and drove the 90 minutes to the resort ourselves, as shuttles to the property are very expensive and once you arrive there isn’t anything within walking distance. You can take the bus into Belmopan, but the freedom of having our own car was wonderful. This is a great home base for cave tubing and other jungle adventures and for visiting Mayan ruins.

The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the western border, a 10-minute drive from the Xunantunich Maya Site and a 10-minute walk from the Cahal Pech Archaeology Site. The Princess Casino and the Green Iguana Conservation Project are a few minutes' walk away. The hotel was great and the staff were lovely and really helpful. Our room was big and clean. The staff at the hotel were really accommodating and helped us book in some tours. The restaurant at the hotel had really great food - we ate there most of the time (breakfast, lunches & dinners). It was about a 25min walk down hill to town but you could taxi back for 8-10 Pesos. The pool was relaxing and clean as well. I would stay here again for sure.

Located in San Ingnacio, this rustic-style resort features spectacular views of the Belize River Valley and offers guests free Wi-Fi and an on-site restaurant. Cahal Pech Village Resort also has a tour desk. The location on top of the hill meant that the views during the day and at night were quite beautiful. The restaurant food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good - tasty, well presented and quite good value. There is also the option of the hotel next door for an evening meal. The hotel is only a very short walk to the impressive Cahel Pech Archeoligical site where you can easily spend 2 hours exploring. Being on top of the hill it required a VERY steep hike back up after checking out the town centre. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
