Set in Zamudio, 6 kilometres outside Bilbao, the Aretxarte is a modern hotel with superb, convenient facilities. The hotel is located relatively close to the airport and allows reaching Bilbao in a few minutes drive. I was positively surprised that the hotel be in a rather leafy surrounding, almost giving the impression of being located far away from urban areas. The room was very quiet. The hotel offers outdoor areas to have a drink or eat alfresco, even during rainy times. I was also positively surprised to realise that there is a restaurant at the hotel. Although I did not get to have diner here, the ambience looked very inviting.

With many of the rooms boasting sea views, a cafe with a large terrace overlooking the beach. The hotel is a lovely setting for a relaxing holiday. Everything was perfect. We asked for two nearby rooms and got exactly that. Beds were super comfortable and big, location at the beach deserves 11/10 and breakfast was delicious.

All rooms come equipped with free WiFi internet access. Bathrooms feature hydromassage showers. The breakfast was excellent! Buffet style, many choices, fruits, cereals, eggs to order, sweets. Great locaton right across the beach and some nice restaurants in walking distance.
