Location was unbeatable. Right on the beach with first class views of the sunrise, sunset and horses buffalo and locals as they went about daily life. Absolutely stunning authentic experience set in luxurious design and stylish interiors. Exceptional welcome, the owners enjoying the surf everyday and inviting us to join made it all feel so wholesome and heartfelt. This place is more than a hotel, it’s someone’s love letter to the island of Sumba and the passion project is infectious. Didn’t want to leave this serene and magical place: thanks for having us !

Το Padadita Beach Hotel προσφέρει καταλύματα στο Waingapu, σε παραθαλάσσια τοποθεσία με θέα στη θάλασσα. The swimming pool is pretty and location right at the front of the beach.

Το Oro Beach Houses παρέχει καταλύματα σε Weetebula με θέα στον κήπο και προσφέρει κήπο, ιδιωτική παραλία, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge και βεράντα. The staff were wonderful and the place was really nice. For this price in Sumba, it’s hard to find anything better. There were a few more insects in the room compared to places like Bali, but it wasn’t a big issue thanks to the mosquito net, which was in perfect condition despite what some other reviews mentioned. We stayed in two different rooms and had no problems.

This is a great spot to start your journey in Sumba. Next to the ocean this place belongs to a community and is real, it is run by locals who will assist you with all your needs. The rooms are simple, but very clean and unbeatable for the price, even with AC. The ladies working there were so sweet and nice, they organized a pick-up from the airport, a scooter to rent, and I could even store my luggage with them while I was away for a few days. The breakfast was rich and also yummy dinner options available. I felt very good.

Το Tanoma Sumba προσφέρει καταλύματα 3 αστέρων μπροστά στη θάλασσα σε Maujawa. Έχει εξωτερική πισίνα, κήπο και ιδιωτική παραλία. Stylish excellent quality resort with awesome, friendly and ultimately responsive staff. Will get back for sure and can only recommend.

Το Cemara Beachfront Suite βρίσκεται κατά μήκος της ιδιωτικής παραλίας Purukambera και προσφέρει δωρεάν χώρο στάθμευσης και δωμάτια με θέα στον ωκεανό. The place is just amazing if you wanna get away from the crowd and relax in heaven. They treat you like royalty and make sure you feel home from the first moment. The restaurant is sublime, the beach is on your doorstep and the staff are professionals and yet super sweet and caring. We rented a scooter from them and explored the savanna, waterfalls and traditional villages. On booking breakfast is mentioned to be 13 euro but in reality it is much cheaper. Food is super delicious and very affordable. I hope they start giving cooking classes in future.

What we really liked is the hospitality in this resort. Ben helped us a lot with looking for nice locations to go to. The food was also really good. The owner is Italian so the pasta is on point. The room was clean with an excellent working AC (pretty special when in Indonesia if you ask me). The shower pressure and temperature were also perfect. Thank you and we hope to see you again!
