The Gullfoss Waterfall is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Reykjavík city centre is a 1.5-hour drive away. We were upgraded to the Hotel Geysir next door which was fabulous. Beautiful breakfast.

The staff were also excellent, especially the young server from Poland (forgot to ask her name). She was a delight and a hard worker. Nice to see nowadays.
