We had booked this as we had been up since 2am and were trying to get a ferry to Siquijor which was fully booked. We chose this out of never due to its proximity to the port and price point. This turned out to be a gem. The property was clean and the bed was large it had a 7/11 downstairs and also a cafe too. The staff were so helpful, they let us check in early so we could sleep. And called a tuk tuk for us when it was time to leave for the ferry, as well as giving us helpful tips regarding the ferry. If only I had remembered because I would’ve left Siquijor earlier and then stayed the night again before flying out to Coron.

Thalatta Resort is approximately 24 km from Dumaguete on Negros Island. The property is located close to Malatapay Market and Apo Island Pier I had the breakfast and it was very nice. I also ate in Tropika restaurant just outside the entrance and fould the food at this restaurant to be reasonable and exceptional quality too.

What I like most in this hotel are the staff. From the security guard who greeted us in the entrance door and the front desk are all friendly. Checking in went smooth. The room is in decent size, it's clean, the bed are well made and comfortable and the bathroom are full of amenities. We did a late service request and the staff came quick. The breakfast buffet was pretty decent, not much to choose from but good enough as complimentary for the price that we paid. I like the location which is in the heart of downtown walking distsnce to restaurants and shops.

Saw pieces of coral and shells. The ocean was very clear. The greatest improvement was the new Star Link WiFi. It was the best internet connection I have had since I’ve been visiting the resorts in Negros Oriental. Thanks to the owners for installing Star Link. Our family always feel welcome, we have many wonderful memories. Our daughter learned how to swim at Kav’s.
