Located 1.2 km from Shark Bay and 1.3 km from Mae Haad Pier, Aukotan Place offers comfortable rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. Guests can make use of a transfer provided from the pier to the hotel free of charge. We loved having the free shuttle service they provide from the pier and back, makes life very easy. The rooms are indeed very big for Thai standards. Aircon works great, shower has good pressure and just overall an easy to stay place. We could rent a scooter with them, depending on availability, and the place is just a great base to go and visit the island. A good restaurant as well and plenty other places for food and drinks just around the corner.

Elegant villas at Tanote come with modern Thai furnishings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Each is fitted with a minibar, personal safe and tea/coffee maker. Shower facilities and toiletries are in the bathroom. We loved everything about Tanote Resort. Our room with its ensuite bathroom and terrace was spacious, clean and comfortable; the swimming pools were super enjoyable and the view over the Tanote Bay and its surroundings was absolutely stunning. The staff was amazing, friendly and welcoming; most come from Myanmar in search for a more hopeful future. A very BIG THANK YOU to all of them for making out stay so special; three brilliant days; what a treat! A side note on the food served at the resort which has been criticized in some reviews. As far as we are concerned, we found breakfast and the food served in the evening excellent. Overall, this is a stay we will remember. We will be back!
