The gîte was lovely. When we arrived the gite was cosy and warm with the log burner burning away in the fireplace. The kitchen had everything needed for a self catering stay. The gîte has been renovated to a very high standard with under floor heating and is tastefully furnished throughout. For those visiting the area for the first time there is plenty of information provided by the hosts. Perhaps for people who don't read French maybe the information pack could be written in English. As we visited in mid January we did not use the garden, however for the warmer weather there was a table and chairs under a covered area. The gîte is in a beautiful village and is very quiet and peaceful. We have stayed in a lot of places in France and the Joli gite is by far the best - we didn't want to leave.

The property is surrounded with the nature; it’s full green when you look through the windows and doors. We really love it! The owners are very kind and generous, they even prepared the wood for the chimney! And dogs are welcome here, without extra payment, which we really appreciated.

This is an amazing property in rural France. If you want a break away from the city, book this place. They have a number of rooms/ homes for you to stay in. They have a beautiful pool that we were not able to use because we only stayed one night. And we enjoyed walking around the small village where the property is located. The host was very friendly and helpful. There is also a lot to explore in the area.

A very comfortable and spotlessly clean cottage in a rural setting. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility - and it's a short drive to Rocamadour and other interesting to historical sites. The host provided us with excellent information on what to do in the area. Highly recommended!

Very very nice house, it has everything you need and it was clean. The owner is very nice, she only speak french but everything is possible with google.translate :) The garden is almost fully enclosed, except for a little hole on the backside. So if travelling with a dog keep an eye on that, otherwise it was perfect for our dog. The house is located just a short walk from Sarlat, and it is perfectly located in the region. Everything you want to see is just a short drive away. We highly recommend La Maison D'alice :)
