Absolutely everything. The home was warm, cosy, clean, and beautifully decorated for the times we live, without losing the charm of its past. Kitchen had all that was needed for cooking/dining. Fantastic location for history of the town, walking for shopping, buses/trains, restaurants and beach. Our host was lovely and easy to contact if needed. Can’t wait to return 😊😊

Lovely, ,spacious modern cottage with everything you needed. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water, a comfy bed, and all the cooking facilities needed. An added bonus was a washing machine and drying area. The owners were helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Close to local amenities, shops, restaurants, take aways and the beach. The cottage had its own private parking and was close to the main route for tourist attractions. Everyone in Golspie very friendly and helpful, both beaches were amazing for different reasons, plenty of walks in the area.

An amazing house! It was really big with very spacious rooms. Plenty of bathrooms for the size of house. Even though the lounge was big, it felt cosy. Beds extremely comfortable. Carol was so lovely and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you.

The cottage is semi-detached, the garden is totally enclosed with good fencing so our 2 wee schnauzer dogs were very safe to be let out. The place was very clean and well stocked with basic cleaning stuff, we were only 2 plus 2 wee dogs but the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms will easily accommodate 3 couples, the big lounge is bright and comfortable, the big kitchen is really well stocked, so cooking for ourselves was simple. The placement of the cottage is perfect for being able to go 5 mins drive to eat out and a great base for travelling to see the wonderful scenery in this part of Scotland. Really loved this place and will be back.the owners were really attentive and kept in touch.

The property is situated facing onto harbour on a very quiet road. There are plenty of parking spaces outside property. Internally, the property benefits from a very comfortably furnished porch ,facing onto the harbour and is a perfect place to sit and relax , looking at the sea. The kitchen is well equipped and well furnished. The living room has two very comfortable leather sofas and a third fabric one. Downstairs loo has a shower ,so perfect for getting rid of sand from the lovely beach moments from house. A stair gate prevents paws going upstairs and is obviously a help with little children. The main bedroom has an extremely comfortable super-king size bed, the other two bedrooms are fitted with two singles in each. The upstairs bathroom is fitted with a shower over bath. The back garden has a seating area with parasol so perfect for sitting in the sun. There is absolutely nothing to dislike in the property, and in my opinion the pictures don’t do it justice. Portmahack is small, quiet , picturesque and an ideal base for touring the area. It would be our intention to return to this property in the future.
