We liked pretty much everything about the inside and the outside. The outside view is amazing, the terrace is nice and the village itself is interesting and it offers more great views on the see, city and the nearby mountains. We liked the style of the interior, there is every equipment which you need on a vacation. The place is nice and clean, the owner provided us coffee capsules and shampoo / shower gel. We were welcomed with delicioius traditional pastry. The owner was all the time available and ready to help us out with anything. He took us by car to the city when we were leaving. And he even gave us home made traditional pastry for our journey and Cretan suveniers. We were absolutely satisfied and I can only recommend you a stay there, because of the place itself and especially due to the approach of the owner.

I very rarely give 10/10 marks but this was the perfect stay for us. The villa was immaculate yet cosy, it had all the facilities you'd need. The location was great about 10 minutes from a major road but remote enough to be peaceful. There were also little shops near by like a mini supermarket, butchers, coffee shop etc. The pool was beautiful and very well looked after and the surrounding area was serene clean and comfy. You will definitely need a car if you stay here but it was central to ever where basically equidistant to Chania and Heraklion but with the beautiful Rethymno on your door step. Most importantly Christos and Vicky were friendly, and responsive. They take great pride in the villa (as they should) and they make you feel so welcome. Were welcomed by some beautiful homemade cretan pastries as well as other goodies. They also provided lovely restraunt recommendations. We have already been recommending the house to our friends and we will be back!

The location was absolutely excellent—quiet, serene, and incredibly peaceful. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, it offered a perfect oasis for relaxation. The surroundings felt calm and rejuvenating, making it easy to unwind after a busy day. The room was spotless and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel welcoming. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this villa! Its location is perfect, just a short distance from the heart of Rethymno, making it very convenient to explore the city while enjoying a peaceful retreat. The outdoor area is simply stunning, with a beautiful bio garden full of fresh vegetables—such a unique and enjoyable feature. Inside the villa, everything is well thought out and fully equipped with all the necessities, making it a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. One of the standout aspects is the serene and calm atmosphere, perfect for those looking to unwind. The hosts were incredible—extremely kind and helpful. They went above and beyond, even cooking for us, and I highly recommend trying the breakfast. It was excellent, with fresh and delicious ingredients. Whether you’re a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a family with children, this villa is ideal, with plenty of spaces for kids to play. Overall, I highly recommend staying here—an amazing experience in every way!

We stayed for two nights at the Vasan Suite and felt completely at home. The building is beautiful and well-maintained, everything was spotless and tidy. One highlight was the heated whirlpool – perfect for relaxing. The windows are soundproof, and the entire place is air-conditioned, which made our stay very comfortable. Our host, Vasilis, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and easygoing – check-in was smooth and uncomplicated. You can tell that great attention is paid to every detail. A special thanks to Vasilis, who even let us use his personal luggage scale to weigh our suitcases before departure – such a thoughtful gesture and great service! A free private parking space is also available just a 2-minute walk from the house – very convenient if you’re traveling by car. We would definitely come back again!

This location really exceeded our expectations - the Villa is a beautiful house with everything one could need for a longer stay with family or friends. The host was very nice and helped us with directions to the local market and other places. Also, the location allows for exploring a lot of places around - from nice beaches to lovely villages in the mountains.

Fabulous, immaculate Villa, all mod cons. Pool great, roof top terrace with jacuzzi for a late evening sun downer. Great views and a wonderful little local restaurant just up the hill. Local shops close by for provisions. Cabs from the local town and Rethmyno very reasonable too, for when you just want to enjoy yourselves!

Sunset Villa was so clean and a great place to be on vacation. The area is very safe and quiet to be with kids. The scenery from the Villa is amazing and it's nice to spend nights at the balcony.

Villa Rizes is an exceptional villa in a beautiful location. It is without doubt the best villa we have ever stayed in. Everything has been thought about and done well. The pool, gardens and wonderful seating and eating areas are perfect.
