The house offered exactly what we needed for a two-night stay: we wanted a transit stop, but it became much more than that, enabling us to enjoy the Hoge Veluwe National Park for a full day. Despite being close to the road, the house is located in a quiet area, and we really enjoyed our evening stargazing at the terrace. The village (Otterlo) is very pleasant and has excellent tourist infrastructure, including a well-stocked local Spar (closed on Sundays, but the one in Hoenderloo is open) and a lovely local ice parlour next to the mini-farm. The Park itself did not disappoint, either: we came for the third time and there were still places to explore and see some wildlife (deer), not to mention the convenience of using the free white bikes to move around. We'd definitely like to come back.

The house is small but absolutely perfect: there's a wood burning fire, a comfortable and cosy bed, a well-stocked kitchen (lots of tea, eggs, herbs and spices etc.) and huge windows looking out onto the horses in the fields.
