It was so cosy and comfortable, the kids wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning but Glenare on Read will definitely be our first choice the next time we're in Horsham. This is a 10/10 property.

Grampians Pioneer Cottages are a real gem near Halls Gap @ the heart of the Grampians. We stayed here for the second time - this time with our family. We loved the cosy and beautifully furnished cottage, equipped with all you need to make your stay comfortable and nestled in superb, wild nature. We admired the visit of many kangaroos, emus, birds … who were literally at our doorstep, enjoyed the fabulous fireplace in the evening. What an unforgettable experience. We hope we can come back again soon. We can highly recommend this place. You will not regret it.

Nice extra touches like complimentary guest laundry and a lovely green space with a water feature and lots of bird life that you can view from your deck. Close to many hikes in the Grampians including some nearby that start from the townsite. The owner provided lots of helpful suggestions for hikes and other activities, and had 2 local guidebooks in the cabin with hike descriptions and maps.

The spacious holiday home features 3 bedrooms, a TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with a bath. Nicely renovated house with very comfortable beds and nice added touches like fuzzy blankets, solid furniture and a renovated bathroom with a beautiful soaking tub. The kitchen was very clean and there were nice, new plates and bowls etc. Seemed like a good, safe area close to downtown Horsham. A good stop over on the drive from Melbourne to Adelaide for us.
