We just got back from staying here for a week and LOVED IT! They gave us a few complementary things (coconuts, bottle of wine, etc. during the stay and just seemed genuinely happy to have us! The bungalows are awesome, with A/C in the bedrooms (extremely necessary). We were with our 18 month old toddler and the following was awesome with a kid: - less than a block’s walk to the beach (chill dirt road) - ground level bungalow and fully gated property so pretty safe for her to run around - a smaller pool in addition to the big pool that she could stand in (she’s 80 cm tall) and has an umbrella so it can be fully shaded - had her own air-conditioned room (and they provided a big pack-n-play/crib) - no breakfast, but just 50 m toward the beach is an amazing breakfast place that we went to every morning (Bridgett’s Ranch - so many animals, wild and domesticated!)

The equipment of the cottage in which we stayed corresponds to the given category and is functional. The owner is very friendly and helpful. But what is absolutely exceptional is the location of the accommodation. The cottage is in a beautiful garden on the border of the town and the Cahuita National Park. This means that in a few minutes you can reach a well-stocked supermarket, restaurants. At the same time, you are a short distance from several beautiful and (in July) almost empty beaches and a tropical rainforest. As a bonus, capuchin and howler monkeys roam around the cottage almost daily, but you can also see agoutis, toucans and hummingbirds there. It's like you are staying in the middle of a zoo.

Perfect place to wind down and relax. José is an exceptional host who offers help with everything you could ever need. Breakfast is served on his terrace, freshly made by José himself. My stay almost felt like visiting a relative. If I am ever back in the area, there will be no question where I will book my accomodation.

This property was very clean and the location was great for walking to the national park and restaurants. The host was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this location.

The open design is ideal for the hot climate. You are surrounded by nature all the time. Only the bedrooms are lockable and equipped with air conditioning and very good beds. The pool is fantastic. Rarely have we experienced such a pleasant lighting concept in a house & garden in Costa Rica. Nature is very close: you can see lots of birds, butterflies and monkeys. We also liked the fact that it was only 10 minutes to a beach where you could swim safely. This house is highly recommended!
