Beautiful birds singing all day but so quiet in the Villa. The cafe was up high off the main thoroughfare but was fun dining and watching the locals pass by with their colourful vehicles

The breakfast was great. The location is stunning and the staff are so helpful and friendly. They also cooked our nightly meal of barbecued fish, rice, sambal etc, which was delicious. We extended our stay by 2 nights.

The house and its surroundings ware absolutely magnificent. Great bed, and a view to die for. Jungle vibes all around. Very clean, very comfortable and spaceous. The swiming pool is picture perfect, albeit not very big. Great knowledgeable host who is very friendly and helpful. You can have excellent freshly cooked breakfast and dinner in the house, prepared by wonderful Femi. We had an amzing time and couldn't stop taking pictures and video's of the house and the view :-) Too bad we stayed only 2 nights.

Irwan and Ernesta were amazing hosts. We chose to travel to Ruteng to get in touch with locals and they completly integrated us in their community. We enjoyed the talks, the food, the little trips and connected on a deeper level, while still having all the privacy we needed. The family and the community are super welcoming. In short time we learned a lot about the indonesian culture in Ruteng. And we got served home-made coffee from their garden, which tasted amazing. Tipp: Irwan also is an highly experienced tour guide all accross Flores so we recomment getting in touch with him beforehand to plan some hiking tours with him! Thanks for everything, these experiences will last! Hope to see you again 🤞

The owner, Moses, completely took care of us from a to z. He organised delicious meals for us every day and went out of his way to organise the activities we wanted to do. He took us to the local market, to his other hotel in on badjawa, to the hot springs, a local waterfall and more! Rarely have we been so welcomed anywhere. He is completely fluent in English and was patient with our questions about the local area and people. Thank you Moses! The hotel is off the beaten tourist path and you are staying in a real local Floresian village. The locals are so friendly! The location on the beachfront is amazing too and you can snorkel straight off the beach. We made a last minute decision to stay here instead of in Badjawa and we didn't regret it for a second. Much nicer to be in the countryside in the calm where you can do everything that you can do from the town anyway. We didn't want to leave!

Lovely guest house located in The middle of Moni. The hosts, Yohanes and his wife were incredibly helpful and friendly during our stay, with recommendations of activities around Moni and they offered us some food on arrival and before leaving. They even helped us to find a ride to Ende last minute! If you want to feel at home we totally recommend Shila Bungalow!

The villa is very modern, clean, spacious and the beds are very comfortable! A big thank you to Erin, who was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. She really went above and beyond to assist us during our trip. It felt like like having hotel-level service in a private.
