This home was our base, and it was easy to travel to all the destinations we desired to visit without needing to repack and move to another location each night.

It is not that far from Reykiavik but it is in an isolated and relaxed area.

The kitchen is well equipped, there is ample space to organize one's luggage, the bath towels are new and white, and parking is easy.. The quiet location on the lakefront was so peaceful, but still close to Reykjavík, shopping/food options, and activities! We loved having a coffee at the kitchen table and watching the birds and water right outside each morning. The cabin was well equipped for a comfortable stay including kitchen supplies. We also enjoyed the barrel sauna with the equally magnificent view!
