La Chosa del Manglar is located in Puerto Jiménez. Free WiFi access is available at the Inn. My wife and I spent 6 nights at this nature oasis, just a 5 minute walk from the town. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and Andrew, the owner, who has developed this project for 18 years, is full of Costa Rican knowledge and a delightful personality. His wife and son were also a huge help with local tours. In the time we stayed on their 4 acres, we identified 49 native bird species, besides seeing troops of capuchin monkeys and several sloths. Andrew has several different types of rooms to stay in. It is close to the little business section of Puerto Jimenez and also the beach area where there are great restaurants. The airport just shorts walk away. We already made reservations to stay there for 3 weeks next year. We also truly enjoyed conversations with many other travelers from Europe and Canada. This is a very unique nature oasis.
