First stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it. The garden room I booked was beautiful, just wish we stayed longer than one night. Staff very friendly and helpful and everything in the room was perfect
Lovely old fashioned village with pleasant walks along the beach. Not ideal for swimming however as too rocky. Very quiet area with a local shop/garage; chip shop; Indian restaurant and a hotel bar - just the right balance for us. The local buses are all very regular and all trips cost just a pound each - regardless of where you're travelling to on the island. Would highly recommend a walk to Vazon Bay and a meal at Crabby Jack's- lush!
Everything about my trip was excellent as l was visiting my daughter and her family. She took me out and about, also to different restaurants,in town we ate at the Fat Rascle, very nice food. One night we ate at La Barbarie hotel their food was excellent. We also went to Pembroke to have a crab sandwich at The Beach House, (l always go there for that)but they did not have any ☹️so we had a prawn one instead 😃 here the golf course is either side of the road so duck down 🏌️🏌️.Le Friquet Hotel restaurant was good,it has Lobsters in a tank that you pick (if you want to)to have for your meal🤔No l didn’t.All in all Guernsey is a great place to go.
A lovely parish with good facilities. There is a pretty village nearby with a post office/gift shop, and a Morrison’s supermarket. A lovely bus or car ride will take you to the stunning West coast beaches. The parish church is also worth a visit, as is Auberge du Val hotel/restaurant.
Great for coastal walks, quiet area, lots of lanes to walk to village, plenty hotels to eat walking distance. Bus service to St Peters Port and other areas good. Taxi book in advance for airport or dinner.
Saint Peter Port is quite buzzy with many different restaurants. Walking around the harbour is a good experience. There are lots of organised parades and markets etc. and you are never short of something to do. Would recommend hiring a car as Guernsey is quite hilly and going inland from St. Peter Port could be exhausting for some. We visited lovely bays on the island and also the German underground hospital (World War 2) and also the gun batteries finding all the stories very interesting. Shopping exceptionally good, the streets remind me of France.
