What a beautiful island so peaceful I found the people so friendly and the food good st aubin s is tiny but I like that reminded me of Cornwall Lovely pubs and restaurants no shops but you can get a bus into st Helier ten mins away the buses are very regular and reliable They only prob I had was not wanting come back home There’s a Indian restaurant opposite the harbour it’s quite pricy but the food is amazing We also ate at the Tenby pub on seafront food good there to we found you had to book a table most places were booked up All in all fantastic break
St. Mary is a small village located in the interior of the island, so is only a short drive from many of the island's beaches. We found the location very quiet, and enjoyed the good pub which was within a short walking distance from the cottage. We have visited Jersey many times, our favourite places to eat are : Le Braye and El Tico at St.Ouen's beach, Colleen's at Greve de Lecq beach, The Crab Shack at Plemont Bay, Cafe Uno at St'Aubin and for a special treat : Mark Jordan at the Beach (La Haule.)
Hotel in a great location with great views across bay from St Helier to St Aubin. If you don't have a car nearest bus stop is at Coronation Park about 6 minutes walk away downhill. You can get buses here to visit west and north west of island and buses into St Helier bus station where you can get buses other parts of the island. Only £2 per journey no matter how far. Excellent value. Beware if you get a bus to the west St Aubin, Corbierre and St Ouens that although you can pick it up at Coronation Park they don't all stop there on the way back but go along Victoria Avenue (main road along sea front) where there are no bus stops so you end up in St Helier with either a walk back or pay for another bus as we found out.
Beach was lovely (when tide was in). Local Historical sites very interesting with the locals and guides always friendly and willing to talk. Easy to access most places by either walking, cycling or buses (which were excellent). Do not recommend taking a car as it is totally unnecessary. Lots of choice for food although they do close very early for a tourist centre. Complete absence of tack-ware shops (blessed relief).
Didn't spend much time in St. Ouen's as we met up with friends who drove us around the Island. From observation, there seemed to be a good bus service, the 9 and the 12. A lovely pub nearby,
It has a lovely beach and I love the harbour ,there are lovely restaurants and coffee bars also a couple of pubs ,and is very convenient for buses to a few varied places including the airport into St Helier and St Brelade bay ,and Portelet bay my favourite when I could climb the steps used to swim there often when I was more mobile
