Located in the village of Egilsstadir, next to the Lagarfljot River, Hotel Edda offers free internet access. On-site parking is free. We arrived late they left the key at the reception. The room is good and clean.

It felt like it was renovated recently since everything looked brand-new. If it wasn't, then they do a great job keeping the rooms pristine! The beds and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was big and clean, and the kitchen had enough utensils for anything we needed to prepare. Overall, one of the best stays we had in Iceland.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. Beautiful location just outside of town. It looked very picturesque in the snow. We were early for check in, so was invited to have a coffee and relax in the lounge room which was nice and cosy showing views of the snow falling. This felt nice and welcoming from the staff. Tea and coffee making facilities in room and a nice hot shower. The hot tub and happy hour made the stay even better.

Overlooking Lake Lagarfljót, this guest house is 5 minutes’ drive from central Egilsstadir. All rooms include free WiFi access, a fridge and a private bathroom with shower. We love this guesthouse very much. Slept like a baby and did’t want to leave the bed. Cozy and clean. The owner is very kind. The kitchen equips well.
