The location couldn't be better, it is literally across the street from the airport. Bus stops are very plentiful nearby and the hotel staff is very well versed in showing you exactly which buses you need to get to your destination on the island. They are able to call taxis for you if necessary as well. All around wonderful location and very helpful staff!

There is only 1 main accommodation area and the house has high roof, so it feels very open and spacious for me. Well ventilated with plenty of fresh air and natural light. I loved the feel of a wooden Japanese house. Everything was very clean and cozy. Loved the outdoor kitchen, lovely outdoor cooking experience; and outdoor areas, makes it easy to dry up after a rainy hiking day. The home is well equipped with racks and amenities (washing clothes, cooking). The host was so warm and caring, she checked in with you to provide necessary information on getting around and visiting Yakushima. Ask her about the meaning of the name Tomarigi, it’s very sweet. Thank you so much for my comfortable and close-to-nature stay, I had an amazing time!

Yakushima Cottage Kukai ligger i Yakushima, blot 18 km fra Shiratani Unsuikyo, og tilbyder indkvartering med havudsigt, gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. The owner of the hotel was very hospitable. Ecquiped with Google translator and brought me late at night to grocery shop! Such a lovely plave in the nature. Recommended!!

På Cottage Morinokokage kan gæsterne leje en hytte med hængekøje. Der er gratis wi-fi på værelserne. There was a shoe dryer and a melody device near the toilet for the privacy. It also had a massaging device and the shared laundry was free of charge. The blankets were warm. There was a shared room with vending machines for drinks and one machine for quick meals. It had microwave and a toaster. The host was friendly and they let us check in 1 hour earlier. Towels were provided for each day of our stay, also toothbrushes with a tiny paste, hygiene products and sponges. The bathroom was awesome and I loved the body soap, shampoo, and a conditioner that was provided. It was easy to find the facility from the road, as it has clear signs of where to turn. A large grocery store Ban Chan was 4 minutes drive away.

Yakushima Minsyuku Suginoko ligger i Yakushima, 18 km fra Yakusugi Land, 26 km fra Shiratani Unsuikyo og 29 km fra Jomon Sugi. Amazing food for beakfast, the host was super lovely, the location is close to everything (I really recommend renting a car for get the most out of Yakushima). The rooms were small but had everything needed.

I liked the location because it was convenient to three different hiking areas. I had a sea view room which was clean and comfortable. The nightly dinners allowed me to sample many Japanese delicacies. Staff adapted well to my minimal Japanese language skills and were helpful in areas I needed help. There was good parking space for my rental car and it was convenient to a grocery store.
