Great location, We had a marvelous stay in katunayake airport the KINGS GATE HOTEL. Wonderful interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too, must recommend the hotel's. Very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel. Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Beautiful atmosphere inside and outside around that part of the city.

Die Unterkunft Agasthi Airport Close ist in Katunayaka, 11 km von St. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von der Besitzerin empfangen. Sie hat uns nach der Ankunft und am Morgen vor der Abfahrt einen Tee offeriert. Wir wollten nicht auswärts essen und sie hat uns eine Pizza bestellt. Auch der Transfert zum Flughafen wurde von ihr organisiert. Das Zimmer war sauber gut ausgestattet und ruhig, perfekt für eine Nacht. 100% zu empfehlen.

Jayantha and his wife made sure that they made our stay memorable inspite of checking in at 1130 pm. The following morning they made sure we had our teas and coffes and was also kind enough to drive us to the airport. Another great example of ari lankan hospitality. We only stayed here about 12 hours but my parents totally loved it and loved the hospitality. The building is exceptionally well maintained for being over 100 years old with all the bathrooms upgraded with a modern contemporary minimalist feel with open spaces and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. Less than a 3 min drive to the airport, please stay here on your way into and out of colombo especially if a long journey awaits you. Highly recommended. 5/5!!

Die Unterkunft The Empyrean Airport Transit Hotel, die in Katunayaka, 13 km von St. really nicely made hotel with lot of place. Dormitory for 8 people was empty (there is lot of rooms cant imagine this room full) I was there alone. bunk beds are new, every bed has own plug, fan, light. you can use space of the hotel with wifi, they have bar with nice prices and nonstop (what really suprised me) restaurant in the garden. staff was really helpful and location from airport is really close - you can walk in 15-20 minutes to airport. Also reachable with bus from Colombo main bus station - but kind of tricky to find bus 265 :-)
