Offering a barbecue and sun terrace, Hanifaru Transit Inn is set in Dharavandhoo in the Baa Atoll Region. Great place. Very well run guest house. Professional and friendly. Best food. We did full board and loved all the variety of food we were served. The staff takes pride in their work and they are happy to do it. What a bargain this place is. The tours are super reasonably priced so we went to see the Manta Rays in Hanifaru bay, went on sunset dolphin cruise, and went night fishing. We experienced the mantas in their feeding time and it was incredible. We saw countless dolphins and they would come right up to our boat. And we caught lots of fish.

Offering a restaurant, LVIS blancura Hotel is a beachfront property located in Dharavandhoo. Free WiFi access is available. The staff at any property make our stay good or bad. This was such an excellent staff who worked together to make our visit a joy! No request was impossible and we felt pampered beyond our expectations. Being met at the airport by Sumesh at night was a great start. The head waiter Biraj was so welcoming and did a great job of advising us of ingredients in the food as we have a strict vegetarian diet. The chef made us fresh oatmeal every morning and accommodated special requests easily. He even made us cake with our eggs! Food is important so we have great appreciation for all of them. Boat rides out to see rays and colorful reefs were a treat and affordable. One of the kind owners was our guide and pointed out rays, sharks, octopuses and things we might have missed without him. Our last night Biraj traced a large heart in the sand by the water and they lined it with candles. Our dinner table was placed inside the heart. It was so thoughtful and the whole staff was so friendly and attentive! We felt like we’re were at a fancy resort being treated like royalty by men who enjoyed their work and did it lovingly. I could go on and on but you have to go have your own experience with this special place. I know we’ll be back again.

Located in Finolhus in the Baa Atoll Region, 15 km from Baa Atoll, Kiha beach features an outdoor pool and views of the sea. Very nice small guesthouse on the beach Great hospitality Helpful staff Great beach
Dharavandhoo is a relatively small island, half of which is occupied by the village, the other half is covered by a thick, beautiful jungle forest. The village is small (about 700 or so people) but beautiful, with clean streets and friendly locals, who like to color their homes and make them look nice. There are a few souvenir shops, at least one grocery shop and two diving centers in the village. The grocery shop has mainly everything you might need outside of what is provided by your hotel. There is also a clinic on the island, in case you need to see a doctor (but hopefully you won't need it). There are a small, nice harbor and the airport. Oh, yes, there is also a taxi: one or two cars in the village, just in case.
Small local islands for chilling, It has everything you need with step accessibility. There are several guest houses, dive center, bikini beach, jungle side and beautiful coral reef. Highly recommend for short and longer stay.
Very nice local island with great people where you will enjoy the genuine maldivian culture. I would highly recommend it. It is just 15/20 minutes by plane from Malé airport, and also has Hanifaru bay at 15' by boat, an amazing place for snorkelling and see the Manta rays.
Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral beaches. It has a forest full of palms and tropical trees and plants. If you visit it in the evening, use mosquito repellent. Local villagers are nice and friendly. There is a bikini beach with sun beds and amazing access to turquoise colour water. Beaches are white sand and on several parts of the island you can find corals and shells on the beach. There is a diving center, you can rent a water scooter or go for a snorkeling trip. Snorkeling was an amazing experience. We saw tropical fish, sting rays, corals and big turtles while snorkeling. We went for a dolphin watch and saw dozens of dolphins swimming and jumping in the sea. There is an isolated island close to Maalhos with beautiful turquoise lagoons. Unfortunately there was also quite a lot of trash when we visited and the forest is full of mosquitoes, so don't forget to take your repellent if you visit. During some months you can watch mantas. We had the luck and the blue bioluminescence plankton 3 or 4 nights on the beach, it was a breath taking experience. We stayed and took breakfast, lunch and dinner in Manta Reserve Hotel, which is the best place to stay in Maalhos. You can walk around the island in 45 minutes.
Layers Cafe & Bakers is perfect place to buy fresh bakery or eat something. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend for diving and Hanifaru manta trip the Liquid Salt Divers team. In the Harbor, you can find the Cafe'D Port with original Italian Carraro coffee. Perfect place for drink an espresso or Cappuccino or eat something. The Code Black and JIS cafe are good place to drink a good coffee. The best food shop is close to the Baa Atoll Shool. You can see the gate of the scholl from the entrance of shop. In the harbor, you can buy souvenirs in two souvenir shop and data card in the ooredoo shop. Finally, you can withdraw cash from ATM at airport. Enjoy your stay in Dharavandhoo!
A local island so don't expect the resort life - the beaches look picture perfect, but the streets are full of trash. You can experience and learn about the local lifestyle, traditions etc. which is a big plus in my opinion. I read that the house reef is one of the best in the Maledives and I can absolutely vouch for that.
