We were looking for something that was quiet, off the beaten track, and still in our budget--and Lukes place was perfect. The property is beautiful and the chalets are well equipped (seriously!). There was such attention to detail in the chalets--everything you might need for a self-catering location. Linda was incredibly helpful with local tips and any questions we had. A very good value, high quality location.

This is a true paradise for the adventurous traveller who wants to experience the real Mozambique! We loved our spacious clean beach bungalow with lovely shady deck from which we could see the sea through the palm trees! It was 100m from the sand. All staff were incredibly kind and friendly. Fernando brought us coconuts and opened them. Dalton is an incredibly kind and hospitable host. He recommended local restaurants that we loved - no menu sometimes, just go with the flow! There is no restaurant at Villancool but we enjoyed walking up to Baobab for breakfast and then back to the tranquility of Villancool. Our sunset Dhow safari was an absolutely highlight - a really traditional timber boat with old school sailing. Dalton can organise activities including kite surfing. We loved our time here. If you want luxury surroundings, room service, fast wifi and all that, this is probably not the place for you but to appreciate a friendly community in very comfortable accommodation, I highly recommend it. The house is beautiful, peaceful, better then the photos. The staff was kind and welcoming. Every day the house looked different thanks to the view of the ocean. It’s very safe. We didn’t need to worry about a thing. Got us the liberty to create the best memories as a couple and we just got engaged right there! Thank you for everything.

The manager Rabeca and her staff went out of their way to help me after I arrived from Tofo in need of medical attention, finding me an English-speaking doctor and organising transport. Rabeca's friendly smile each morning was a delight, the food at the restaurant was excellent (including their famous pizzas), and they can easily organise group or individual boat tours to various islands nearby. The rooms are just a few metres from the beach so you can fall to sleep to the sound of the ocean each night. I loved it so much I extended my stay by a week. Highly recommend!
