Loved everything, the staff were amazing . They made us feel really welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. The views were Amazing overlooking the park and seeing wild animals. There were activities for families with children and a clean pool. Great bar on site and Evening Entertainment .

Located in Dete, 1.8 mi from The Teak (Hwange Safari Lodge), Gwango Elephant Lodge features accommodations with access to a garden with a barbecue. A patio with forest views is offered in each unit. From the moment we climbed into the safari jeep to head to the the resort, to the welcoming staff, incredible safari experiences with Marco, delicious food by Chef Conrad, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms, dining with the elephants, and campfire chats, we were in Zimbabwe heaven!

Gwango Heritage Resort features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Dete. Guests can use a bar. At the resort, the rooms include a desk. Wow! What an experience. Just amazed at how the accommodation resembled an African village but with all the mod cons - thatched roof, open air reception, lounge area, pool area, restaurant. Surrounded by animals freely roaming the bush surrounds. Thoroughly enjoyed yarning around the fire pit each night with travellers from other origins. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it.
