Comfortable, clean, warm (it was chilly weather) and well located. BUT, ver this walls and felt like we were in the bathroom with our neighbour who was in there most of the night, or so it felt.

Daylesford is good any time of year. Especially nice in Autumn. The Lake was beautiful with the sun on it and autumn leaves falling photographic. Wombat Hill gardens were lovely as was Hepburn Springs. Jackie's on Vincent is one of our favourite place to eat and we weren't disappointed.
Nice range of shops and historical buildings from the gold rush era. The Historical Society and Museum run by Volunteers is really informative and great.

Lovely country town, everybody helpful and friendly,...
Lovely country town, everybody helpful and friendly, especially at the hotel. Great little shopping and restaurants, cafes, etc. Beautiful scenery and surrounding areas. unfortunately we didn't have time to visit any spas, but will definitely go again.
The only downfall was the taxi service, which we had ordered to take us to my daughter's wedding. It didn't turn up, and after many phone calls, finally out hotel manager got one for us. Ditto when we left the reception, didnt show. Worse, was the limo that my son-in-in law had organised to take him and my daughter to their accommodation, didn't show after the reception. So everybody left, and they were left standing. Had to get a friend to come and get them, Spoilt a lovely day for them, as he had planned a romantic surprise. No real apology from the company, just refunded the money.

Daylesford is a Rural Victoria gem, filled with art galleries and great shopping, but most of all an awesome atmosphere where everyone is welcomed. The springs are closeby and wellness spas are abundant, as are a host of other attractions, but you will need transport (car/motorbike) to make the most of it.
The annual Pride ChillOut festival over the long labour day weekend is a must, a weekend filled with a host of events and where all the Daylesford businesses get involved. A truly magical time.

It was easy to spend 3 days in Daylesford visiting galleries, parks and the lake area. The food was excellent at the cafes and restaurants I visited, especially The Farmers Arms Hotel which also had a lovely outdoor area. If you’re into second hand shopping, you must visit the Mill Market and op shops too!

Daylesford is a gorgeous country town...not too big and not too small. Great cafes and restaurants. Gorgeous scenery. Lovely community and service is outstanding. Recommend it for a relaxing break.
Clean spacious modern house in quiet private setting. Kitchen large convenient and well equipped. Curved sofa seating great for group interaction. Beds very comfortable. Ducted heating and gas fire welcome as chilly temperatures. Good pre-arrival communication from Daylesford Country Retreats.
The location was central to everything. The room was comfortable although the airconditioner was a little noisy. We had dinner in the bistro downstairs and the meal was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel as a must stay if visiting Daylesford. Excellent value for money.
Fontaine was the perfect house for our weekend getaway to Daylesford.
The house contained everything we needed.
The house was warm, beds comfortable and plenty of kitchenware to cook for ourselves.
We recommend this property and would rebook it.
This was a lovely place to stay, very quiet. We were in Daylesford on a very busy long week end so therefore paid a premium for accommodation.
Easy walk to the Main Street, Lake House Restaurant and Boat House Restaurant.
Very nice.
A beautiful house, close to the centre of Daylesford, with a delightful outdoor area at the back. The property has been beautifully renovated and is well appointed. We also had a small dog with us, and the property is pet friendly.
Easy keypad entry. Convenient location close to Farmers Arms Hotel and other restaurants. Close to the beautiful Wombat Hill Reserve and The Convent Gallery. Very clean, modern accommodation with comfortable bed.
Magnificent house looking over the lake. Perfect for us 7 adults where everyone had their own space, both indoor and outside on the huge decking. Beautiful decor, had everything we needed (except a tea towel).
Everything, location was super easy to find, right in the heart of Daylesford. It's a little old school British looking cottage and gives off that really old Victorian vibe from back in the days
Albert Cottage is in the best location, just a few steps from the Main Street. The house is spacious and beds are very comfortable. Great that it’s pet friendly.
Host was very helpful and we enjoyed the goodies left. House was very clean and the outside balcony, BBQ and backyard overlooking the lake was very peaceful.
