The best thing in Strathmerton was Cactus Country, fantastic place to visit, even if you're not into cacti. Just loved it! There was one fish and chip shop in town and a pub with more expensive meals, but it is a small town so what can you expect

Quiet country town with access to golf courses at Tocumwal & Cobram Barooga. At less than $45/night per person the cheap accomodation was great for our boys golf weekend. Short drive to the mighty Murray river & amazing beach on the river. Friendly Cafe staff for fish & chips, playing pool while waiting for food, just like the old days.
