Hotel La Terrasse, hotel in De Panne

This hotel offers simply-furnished rooms in the center of De Panne, less than 328 feet from the sandy beach. La Terrasse features simply furnished rooms, a heated terrace and a restaurant.

The room was excellent, but we were extremely disappointed on arrival to learn that there were NO facilities for parking my car. In the end we unloaded suitcases on the pavement and then drove 1.5 km to the nearest parking place on outskirts of the town. This had further complications as we needed to leave early to drive to the Shuttle and I had to walk the same 1.5 kms with some of our lighter luggage to pick up my car and drive back to hotel to load suitcases while "parked" on the pavement. You should warn future guests of this distincr drawback. Had I known I would NOT have stayed in this otherwise good hotel.

Hotel Montana, hotel in De Panne

The cottage-style Hotel Montana is located only 230 feet from the beach. The peaceful location in a residential neighborhood and the small distance to the town center are ideal for a convenient stay.

Do you fancy a real hotel, far from the hipster-ish standards? An old but gold kind of thing with wooden walls and a nice terrace outside? Then Montana is for you. We spent there 2 night and then decided to stay for two more, so this explains a lot :) Super close to the beach but not so close to hear the noise of people chatting and strolling. Very good breakfast, a nice family room with all the necessary comfort. Super clean and the owners were very kind. All seems familiar and you feel like home.

Able to provide me with a selection of glutton free breads on the second and third morning. My fault as I forgot to inform them before hand. Rooms were clean and comfortable but no coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast seemed a little dear though. Staff able to recommend somewhere to eat.

Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes.

Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Saturday morning market was impressive. Coast line tram service runs up most of the Belgium coast (we had a day in Ostend). Sea front is clean tidy, beach is massive (beach huts available for hire). Train station is accessible by tram.

Although a small town, the centre is very full with shops, food stalls and restraurant. Fries, ice-cream and chocolate are all there. Although as :Belgium, I'd expect way more chocolate shops. The beach is long and not crowded. It is fitted with cabins that can be rented. There is an amusement park (and water park) which can make for a fun day out. You'd need to book it. There are not halal food places around, and the closest thing is across the French border (~20KM).

There was a market in the centre that was lively and full of interesting things. De Panne is expensive and even moderate restaurants cost Euro 70/80 for two. THe beach is long and sandy so ideal for those with children.

    Hidden gem.

Hidden gem. Miles of soft sand, with sheltered eating/drinking restaurants on the beach. Miles of promenade, easily accessed with the hire of a bicycle or cart. The town has remarkable architecture, reflecting th history of late 19th century grandeur right up to on going developments.

Warm and friendly Manager, rooms are above the bar and breakfast area, clean and well presented. Lovely old styled Bar was well priced, and the bar quiet the night we stayed. Breakfast is pre-ordered and a full choice, served with refills of tea &coffee as required. Just of the main road and easy to find in a small village. would stay again for sure!

Lovely town, in summer or winter. People are very friendly. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Lots to see and do. Coastal tram access. Easy access to the motorway. The beach is huge and it never feels crowded. De Panne is a wonderful example of the best of Belgium.

Our first stay at this place (but definitely not our last) which is situated a minute's walk from the beach, 3 minutes from De Panne's main shopping street and 7 minutes from the town square with its restaurants and bars. Right on the coastal tram line. Smooth check-in/check-out thanks to good communication from the owner. The apartment was spotlessly clean throughout, tastefully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen. Super-fast Wi-Fi. Free on-street parking. We always managed to find a place within a few minutes' walk.

Well situated for the beach and a short walk to the centre. Plenty of restaurants along the front. Hotel is clean and the staff friendly. One of the best things is this hotel offers free parking, most other hotels do not and De Panne is a nightmare for parking. The tram is only at the bottom of the road which can take you to Ostend or other places on route to Ostend. Nieupoort is a great place to get off at if you like shopping 😃

Friendly staff, central location but still quiet. We had the apartment, which is around the corner of the hotel in a separate apartment complex. The apartment was very clean with ample space and two double beds. The apartment complex has parking spaces for 20€/night although it is relatively easy to find a spot in De Panne. Breakfast is good and served in a pleasantly decorated room.

I made the reservation very last minute, like a day before, but this was not a problem. Everything was clean when we arrived, there was some food in the fridge, clean towels in the bathroom. Every morning at 8am the breakfast arrived. My son loved the bunk bed and wanted to stay longer. It is really close to Plopsaland, which was great in our case.
