- I liked first of all that the owner of the hotel was speaking Romanian since i don't speak Bulgarian at all.
- I liked that the room had TV, Air conditioner and a separate bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink with mirror.
- I like that the hotel have near everything necessary if you're with your car: a gas station across the street, an autoservice, car wash & a restaurant 50m ahead, a parking place behind the hotel.

Nice location. Communication was very easy with the owners. Parking was on the street but there was enough space to park.
Renovated in 2022, the Хотел "Ровно" is conveniently positioned at a place easily accessible from all main thoroughfares of the town, close to the Danube River and all cultural and historic landmarks....

I have stayed at this hotel several times, so I know exactly what to expect. However, they have updated the elevators since last time I was there. I stayed in room 810. The view from every room, over the river into Romania, is always pleasant. If you get a chance walk down the stairs from the top floor and look at the original art work on the walls. Some of them are really good. The owner has original paintings and objects-of-art everywhere in the hotel. The breakfast is very good, even for a vegetarian. WiFi is very fast.

Vidin is a charming small city. The park, architectural and historical monuments, and the art museum provide interesting sights for 2-3 days. Just sitting in the park along the Danube watching the river traffic is a relaxing time. If you're looking for a couple of days to just slow down, it's a great place.

Nice town with lively promenade/park along the Danube.
Nice town with lively promenade/park along the Danube. Fortress "Baba Vida" has a long history, had historically withstood sieges, and served as home base for regional rulers. The new bridge nearby has made Vidin the obvious choice for a one-day stopover, and I don't regret it.

The rather small city has a lot to offer and same is valid for the areas in vicinity (max 60-80 km). Very nice natural objectives (caves and mountain trails) but also a lot of historical objectives (fortresses, churches, etc).
Good restaurants and a nice walking area on the Danube are recommended.

Vidin may visibly be the poorest administrative city in Bulgaria but it certainly offers a treat for the eye with its examples of beautiful architecture. The famous landmark of Vidin - the Baba Vida fort is also enjoyable for views both from the inside and from the top of it. Enjoy a stroll along the Danube and wave a hi to Romania which is visible on the other bank of the river. Also, everything here seems to be considerably more inexpensive compared to the rest of Bulgaria.

It is a great city on the Danube River just by Danube Bridge 2, which leads to Romania. It has fantastic garden with great shade, wide walking areas, many resting places, excellent restaurants, playgrounds for children. By the end of the park is the famous and authentically preserved fortress Baba Vida. Most people find the city clean, quiet, pleasant and relaxing.

Vidin feels like a resort town, even if it isn't.
Vidin feels like a resort town, even if it isn't. Very relaxed and pleasant, many green areas, especially the long river park along the Danube. The Danube dominates the town and is a majestic river, one can sit in the park and watch the ships. The main attraction of town is of course the medieval fortress Baba Vida, which is very interesting to explore, but we enjoyed the Epigraphical Center in close proximity as well. In general, Vidin has exciting history, including of a large and very old Jewish community, departed after WW2. The Synagogue is now under renovation - and we are looking forward to visit again in 2023 when it will be ready as a tourist/cultural center.
We ate in 2 places - Danube Fish & Grill, on a boat in the river, and Teatro, in the park, and both places surprised us with the quality of the food for the prices, simply great. Local fish soup Salamura and local red wine Gamza are warmly recommended. In general, we spent 2 nights in Vidin and had a great experience altogether!

I had arrived very late. The staff welcomed me really warm and made dinner for me just literally before they closed. Be dry impressed from all of them. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Spacious room with plenty of space. You’ve got everything you need in one hand.
Thank you guys for made my short stay unforgettable.

The host was very friendly, he told us about the story of the city and responded to every request which we had. The location is really good- right in front of the old city gate , central area and the river and its park. The hotel was really well designed with all these pictures and souvenirs everywhere. The feeling is like being home.
Good location, 10 min walk from centrum. A renovated hotel with a lot of art in the lobby, corridors and rooms, fine furniture, very clean. Bed was great and the A/C was perfect. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good wifi was working. Spacious parking for guests with cars. I would enjoy coming back!
One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. Rustically decorated with antiques and a mass of paintings. Very good restaurant with good food, large portions at affordable prices. Beautiful swimming pool, not crowded. Beautifully situated in a park on the banks of the Danube.
I'm crossing the border to Romania at least twice each year and this is my Hotel for resting before the long road trip to the UK. The place is well located between the river and the central of the town. The restaurant and the bar are always busy that speaks to the people's choice too
Oasis in Vidin. 2kms for the city centre so it’s nice and quiet. Lovely rooms, great kitchen, lounge, common areas. We were the only ones staying and so had the place to ourselves for 2 nights. Viktor the owner is very welcoming.
location is very good
receptionist spoke perfect english and was very helpful
cheap for a hotel stay
overall the room furniture and decor looks nice. Also the bed was confortable. Too bad about the way the cleaning is done.
After a long train ride, Hotel Neptun is situated very close to the train station and the Beautiful Danube river. I was able to use the swimming pool right after my arrival and the staff was very helpful.
Location was perfect - close to everything but still quiet and peaceful. The host went out of his way to accommodate and be helpful. Lovely hotel and staff, and I will certainly stay again when in town.
Location is superb! Hotel is huge and cosy. Has balconies in every other room, so as a smoker, highly appreciate that!
Breakfast had numerous choices and the staff was extremely polite and helpful!
I had cozy and spacious room with AC, TV and small refrigerator, right next to the city centre, train and bus station, with big supermarket nearby. Felt more like a guest room than a hotel.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable, flexible hours of check-in are also provided. The location is also very good, the hotel is close to the centre and the Baba Vida Fortress.
