Beautiful hiking although the wind in the Tablelands was incredibly strong. The trail goes to the end of the valley. While it is possible to hike to the top, the trail, if it exists, is not marked. The Lookout Trail, which begins at the Discovery Centre, is a long slog and the views would have been incredible at the top had the cloud and rain not obscured it. However, you have to expect variable weather in Newfoundland and enjoy those days when it is clear.
