The Views from the Hotel Strand were magnificant. Beautiful setting, nice and quiet with a cute little balcony to enjoy the lake views. The room was better then the pictures. Cozy with complimentary tea and coffee. The beds are firm like most of Europe which is what we like. The morning buffet was delicious with large variety. The staff was so kind and helpful. From here we explore Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, and Giessbach water fall. Definitely will be back to explore and hike in this area of Switzerland again. We were here beginning of May when all the spring wild flowers are in bloom.

We truly doubt there is any hotel in this area with better views. Order an upgraded balcony room to capture the unforgettable views.

It has a cosy cove and a quite retreat holiday with easy access with the 103 free bus shuttle into Interlaken was very helpful, leaving moist days every 30 minutes. The small shop there is adequate for essentials. We loved kayaking on the lake and has regular ferry crossing which is an added attraction. There are a few restaurants in the area which is handy. A great place to go to to escape the busy city for a calm and peaceful break and would highly recommend.

Iseltwald is a beautiful village near Interlaken. But little away from all attractions and need to take a bus to go to Interlaken and takes around 25 minutes. Evening last bus is around 8pm and need to plan your activities accordingly Otherwise Iseltwald is a nice place and you get an experience of staying in a Swiss village!!!Charles - 10Scored 10

Iseltwald is a small village near Interlaken (30 minutes bus ride) with the most breath-taking views. It was one of the most mesmerising and peaceful places I have ever been to. I would highly recommend everyone who plans to do things near Interlaken to visit/stay at Iseltwald.NATHANI - 10Scored 10

Beautiful location. Apartment was really great. Swimming in the lake in summer is special. The hotel overlooking the lake isa just a 1 minute walk from the apartment and has great food, Great Lake views and cold beer.

The communal area was clean. There was a kettle, a microwave, a refrigerator to store your own food. There was also free coffee and tea. The view from the balcony of our room was magnificent. We stayed at the 3rd floor. The common toilet was also clean. The hostel will also give you a free interlaken pass, it is a free ride to all interlaken areas. We will surely come back and stay in this hotel. 100% Recommended ✅

We are just in the center of the Iseltwalt where we can enjoy the spectacular natural scenery. Breakfast is so delicious and variety with breads, vegetables, kinds of ham and cheeses, fresh drinks in a cozy restaurant. The owners are very kinds with smile always.

PS: you will need a car if you do stay here, this gave us tremendous flexibility.

We had a car, but transportation was readily available in the event we didn't want to use the car. Our apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed, including parking. The check-in/out process was easy, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming - i felt like a local walking around the village, sitting by the lake soaking up the atmosphere and vibe.
