The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast is home made...I loved it. Outside the main touristic area but just few minutes away so no a real issue. We went with our dog and was welcomed.

Located well, we found our room was spacious, clean with comfortable beds, air conditioning and an excellent shower. The breakfast was delicious with several options on offer.The staff were friendly and very helpful. The garden and the design of the hotel gives a sense of serenity and I must say having a swimming pool was blissful to elevate some of the heat during the day. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend La Gloria Hotel.

If you are in Mompox for some Garcia Marquez nostalgia then this is the place to stay - Doña Betty is straight out of one of his novels as is her old family home which she has turned into a historic hotel with lots of interesting antique furniture and art. Air conditioning in the room was powerful which was absolutely crucial in sweltering Mompox. Doña Betty also arranged an excellent walking tour of the town for me.
