A very historic town from Roman times and on the border at...
A very historic town from Roman times and on the border at the edge of the Roman empire known as the “Limes” Most of the old town has very well preserved ancient buildings. It is directly on the river Main. There are loads pf restaurants and places to people watch as you enjoy a drink or ice cream. Easy access to the A3 Autobahn, 30km from Frankfurt airport and the City of Frankfurt. Other interesting towns such as Miltenberg and Aschaffenburg nearby.

Great room, newly decorated. Very comfortable bed. Quiet part of town so a good night's sleep. Substantial breakfast buffet up to the high standards one expects in Germany. All in all an enjoyable experience. Also just a short 10 min drive from the A3 autobahn so perfect for a relaxing stopover in a lovely altstadt environment. Excellent value for money.

I don't speak German but the staff were so helpful and I had everything I needed. The room was clean, warm and comfortable with daily room service. Lovely varied and healthy continental breakfast, at just 7 euros a day. The location was also great, close to the railway station and walking distance to the town centre. Coffee machine even ground the beans for my several cups of cappuccino. Staff were friendly and helpful as I was there to find the Displaced Persons Camp where I was born. Unfortunately this was not the Seligenstadt I was looking for. (Eventually tracked it down next to Würzburg.) This town is a lovely stop for hikers and bikers in Bavaria.
