Beautiful old city with great architecture and lively nightlife. The Camino Inglés winds through the city, making it especially convenient for those walking that pilgrimage route to Santiago. We happened to be there during tortilla celebration week, and the Betanzos tortillas are a speciality. Best hint - find the small cafe/bars located through the “arches” in narrow streets just off the main plaza.LisaUnited States of America

We were told how best to get to our accommodation on the Camino the next day and given a lift to the top of the very steep hill out of town!! We had a super king Roo. Which was themed with a huge bed and a jet shower very welcome after walking all day! It's just a few minutes to walk to the town plaza, grocery store, etc. and the kitchen was well-stocked with what we needed to make dinner after a long day walking on the Camino Ingles. Isabel was a delight to deal with, and helped us with directions and logistics for our stay. We were fetched in the centre of town, and taken to the start of the walk again the next morning. On our second day we walked to Presedo, where Antonio fetched us after lunch. He took us back to Presedo the following day, to continue our walk from there. All the extra driving, at no extra cost - a true Camino host!!

The lovely receptionist who booked us in and was so helpful and answered all our questions. The room was spotless. It was situated in the town and was close to restaurants and shops. We were given a quiet room and we could hear no street traffic at all. Our breakfast was lovely with plenty to eat. I would recommend this Hotel.
