Had a stunning view of the mountains from my balcony and breakfast was good. The location is also ideal because it is a 10 minute walk to Old Town Annecy. It also took me 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to Annecy Central bus station where I caught a Flixbus back to Geneva Switzerland.

We mainly explored the old town and chilled near the beautiful lake. We also went for a hike nearby.
The old town has really nice restaurants. Ideally it's better to reserve before going for the restaurants to have Fondue/Raclette.
It's easy to get around Annecy by hiring a bike or taking the public bus. However one should be careful about the timings if you want to visit nearby places from Annecy. The buses are not so frequent.

The place is the perfect combination of nature and culture.
The place is the perfect combination of nature and culture. Compact and yet full of little surprises, Annecy is a charming French city that should be in every traveller’s bucket list. Plenty of excellent dining options, the majestic Alps before you, the Lake and the river around which the place weaves its spell. Late March, early April werent as packed with tourists as summer, so the pace is less harried. Prices, too, both for food and accommodation are very affordable. Three restaurants we tried : Cozna, Saba and Le Bouillon, all Michellin recommended - provided excellent food and service.

Beautiful old city.
Beautiful old city.
Gorgeous views of a pristine, clear lake.
Old town area was lovely and the Sunday market seemed really authentic.
Have a trip on the boat to admire the substantial houses dotted along the shoreline, enjoy an ice cream and take lots of pics.
There is a good bus service if you want to go further afield. We visited Talloires Montmin on the other side of the lake by car but I noticed it is on a bus route too.

Maximum charm in a small footprint: the Old Town is pedestrian-only, small streets that wind around and across the river, farmers markets, cutesy shops, plenty of cheese-y dinners... the place is a picture-postcard for France.

Not too much to do in the rainy weather.
Not too much to do in the rainy weather. Drinks are very expensive.
Great market in the old town 3 times per week. Lots of quirky little side streets and beautiful buildings within the city. Great to wander around.
Can walk parts of the lake or hire a bike. It’s beautiful even on rainy days
I like the location since it is very near the bus station and metro, it's quite a walk going to the old town but it's walkable and I like to explore and take a walk so it's no big deal. Francois is very helpful and responsive and makes sure you feel at home. I didn't regret that I booked Francois place than the hotels near the old town because the cobbled streets might make it hard to bring wheeled luggage.
Privilodges Royale Annecy is a lovely place to stay. The location is central to Annecy with access to the Old Town right from the front door. The continental breakfast is reasonable value and you can take it out onto the elevated terrace overlooking a pretty park. The mini-kitchen in the apartment is fine for simple cooked meals and saves you a lot of money on eating out.
The apartment is situated in the old town of Annecy, really a perfect spot, just down some steps from parking and very close to the market, the lake and the beautiful cafes and restaurants.
We happened to visit around the 14th July which meant we could attend the fireworks easily. They were fantastic. The town was packed but this was expected.
This spacious apartment was charming and very well situated in the old town area. We loved the views and enjoyed having a balcony. The hosts are exceptionally pleasant & helpful and added greatly to our enjoyment of the city. They have a wonderful library which includes excellent books about essential things to see & do in France.
Excellent location close to old town. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Especially Maria she deserves a promotion. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Didn't have the brekkie but it looked great and wasn't expensive. We travelled through Switzerland and France and this was by far our best experience.
very well designed hotel room with great shelving in the room, closet and bathroom; very comfy bed and pillows; extremely clean; we traveled with our dog and it was very pet friendly with dog bowls and bed in our room; quick 5-10 min from old town next to the water; nice cafe downstairs for breakfast
The hotel is a new build, is clean with small rooms but huge beds and good facilities. The location of this hotel is perfect for a quick walk to lake Annecy and only a few hundred meters more to the old town. There are loads of accessible shops, bars and restaurants within a ten minute radius.
The hotel is a close walk to the train and bus station and just around the corner from Old Town. The terrace had a lovely view and the location made touring Annecy very easy. Though we stayed during the hottest time on the top floor, we were provided with a fan.
The location is probably the best thing. You're right there at the lake and a short 15 min walk to the old town. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, the bathroom is much bigger than what we were used to seeing in france so it was a nice surprise.
The hotel was excellent in every sense! It's located by the lake with breathtaking views and yet quite close to the old town centre. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!
Location was fantastic for exploring the old town and the lake. The hotel was lovely, with friendly staff. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast (16€) was substantial, with a variety of savoury and sweet options.
The location is amazing, very close to the old town and it is waking distance from everywhere, old town and the lake. The bedrooms are spacious and the apartment is big compared to other apartments you would find in France.
Hôtel du Château was a lovely place to stay, right next to the Château and right in the heart of the beautiful old town of Annecy. The views from the hotel were amazing. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
few meters from the lake and next to the old city, the location can’t be any better
better than 5 star hotel when it come to cleaning.
