a fine small chateau with connections to Andre Malraux. Recommended by Martin Walker, which is why we stayed there.
Very quiet. Breakfast good with apples and apple juice from the estate.

We were welcomed with a lot of enthusiasm and caring to this beautiful country inn right on the Dordogne River. Sitting on the patio looking out over the valley was a bit of heaven! The dining room was lovely. It was a fine base to visit nearby Sarlat La Canadia and to see other ancient buildings in the Dordogne area.

Very friendly staff; beautiful ambiance in the garden terrace; outstanding food including great pastries for breakfast. Such great value!!
Limeuil is gorgeous. It is a small town, built going up a steep hill, with ancient stone houses, arches and small gardens. It has a castle at the top where they were holding a children's Halloween party. Lovely, challenging walk straight up hill. At the bottom of the hill is a small park where you can watch the Vezere river join with the Dordogne through the leaves of weeping willow trees. It is an idyllic village.

We loved the location overlooking the Dordogne and Vereze...
We loved the location overlooking the Dordogne and Vereze rivers - we also very much liked the garden in the walls of the castle (that no longer exists. The hotel is lovely with outside terrace and quiet rooms. Limeuil is located near several very scenic and picturesque villages and towns with lots to see and do (canoeing, traditional boat rides on the river, art galleries, castles, abbays, scenic walks, lots of restaurants, no billboards and easy driving between spots.
A gem of a hotel where I will stay whenever in the area.
Everything was perfect. The staff were warm, friendly and very professional. The room and bathroom were well equipped and air conditioned. The whole hotel including the fabulous pool, was spotlessly clean. The restaurant has a fantastic view and excellent food. It's just a wonderful place to stay and relax!!!
We loved the view. The rooms were clean and modern. For us, the best part was having delicious breakfasts out on the patio with the beautiful view of the Dordogne river and valley. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. It was a great spot from which to explore the area, including the beautiful ancient village of Limeuil. Would definitely recommend it!
The hotel is in a good location, but the parking situation is very restricted. Their restaurant is so good, many locals drive there and there are very few parking spots for guests up on the ridge where the hotel is located. Otherwise, the room were nice and the restaurant very good.
Very nice hotel at an excellent location. It is in the middle of the old town and very near to the river where you can swim and have a drink with a beautiful view. Limeuil is not too busy. We were very lucky to be able to book this room at the last moment.
We dined in the hotel restaurant and had one of the best meals we've eaten in France. We had to leave early, before the official start of breakfast, but the owner arranged to have it ready for us and it too was delicious.
Unexpected but there was a fridge in room. On site restaurant & the food very good. The host were very welcoming & spoke good English. View from hotel of the river & the valley. Parking. Early check in.
Village of Limeuil, views are unbelievable. House is gorgeous. Sufficient parking space. Plenty of small Dordogne towns are 20-40 minutes away. Marion is a very welcoming host
