Townhouse No.1 exceeded expectations during my one-night stay in Aberystwyth. The check-in process was seamless, and the property was impeccably clean. Its convenience and cleanliness make it a standout choice for accommodation in Aberystwyth. Highly recommended for a hassle-free and comfortable stay.

Easy walking distance of the station. Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Perfectly located to see the town and beach front. Hosts were lovely and welcoming. Special mention for the efforts they went to when I left a necklace behind in my room. They made arrangements with me so I could get it back which meant a lot due to its sentimental value. Thank you!

Very dated however the staff were very friendly, breakfast was fine, but the location and view from the room's bay window was exactly what needed.

Good location, staff were lovely, food was lovely. Couldn’t have the breakfast I had already paid for in the morning though as there was only one server and was taking too long when I had an appointment to get too.

My second stay here. Got the sea view I requested! Lovely clean rooms, tea and coffee in the morning while watching the waves.
On average, it costs £125 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Aberystwyth for tonight. You'll pay around £115 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Aberystwyth will cost around £148, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
I loved the bay and the coastal walkway. I was disappointed with the condition of the properties along and around the seafront. A feeling of neglect around the small streets. Lots of seagull droppings and rubbish cluttered these areas. The area around the train station was more desirable.

Had events worth attending. We managed to get last tickets to an event showing that it is popular to locals and visitors
Bikes from all across UK headed there on a sunny day. The roads were fantastic and the places of outstanding beauty were stunning too!

We enjoyed the closeness of everything and being able to walk to most places. It was an interesting town which we look forward to exploring more fully on our next visit.
We ate at a restaurant right next to the station, The Athro lounge, good selection for vegetarians and child friendly, to be recommended.

Good road and rail links make it easy to explore this beautiful region, or you can just hit the coastal path to do some brilliant walking. The short but challenging walk to Borth, for instance, has dramatic scenery but you can then catch the train back to Aberystwyth.
For train fans, and the less fit, you can catch the funicular up Constitution Hill for a great panoramic view and I understand there’s a steam train but I ran out of time.
However don’t expect golden sands, rather black, coarse grit.
For dinner with a difference try Paprika for authentic Hungarian food and wines.

If you enjoy walking - either on streets or coastal paths - Aberystwyth is a good place to do so. We walked from the hotel to the Cliff railway and back on a couple of occasions - but using different routes each time. If you are interested in other things, we didn't visit many locations in the town (it was a stop-over on our way home) but I understand there are a number of attractions - including the Vale of Rheidol Railway which runs trains the 14+ miles to Devil's Bridge.
A few miles north of the town is the very interesting Dyfi Osprey Centre with a brilliant set of volunteers and - at this time of the year - good views of the breeding pair of ospreys from the centre's observation platform 200m away from the nest.
This place has the complete package. Great staff, great food, great room, modern, traditional, feels wonderful, location is superb, etc. Everything is close in Aberystwyth so don’t be swayed by the fact that it’s a little farther from the center of town. Nothing is far from the center or the train station. I also visited their sister locations (with different names) in Llandudno. They were equally phenomenal. Stay here when you can and you’ll keep coming back.
On the first night our booked room was not available. Mr Emyr Davies, the owner, moved us to a 4bed cottage at no extra cost.
Tan-Y-Goer cottage, 4 bed, swimming pool. Hot tub, garden, BBQ and games room. Excellent property, very suitable for families.
Our 2nd night we were in the Queensbridge hotel, right on the front in Aberystwyth next to the beach. Large comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Hotel had been refurbished during lock-down so was all new. Lovely bed, excellent shower, new carpets throughout. Very firendly staff who let us in early because of the atrocious weather and storm (we had planned to sight-see in Aberystwyth but the wind and rain made that impossible. It was lovely to get into the comfort of the room.
Hotel is just 100 m from the beach and sea prominade.
This boutique hotel is, in my opinion, outstanding.
The owners and staff have gone to extremes to make it welcoming and comfortable and they have certainly managed to do that.
The extras provided are amazing and I have already booked my next stay.
I won't stay anywhere else when I visit Aberystwyth, nowhere compares.
The rooms are on two different floors and it gives a kind of "family house" feeling. The town is absolutely charming and the accomodation is on a very central place, just few steps from the beach. It is not possible to park in front of the house, but there is a cheap parking lot nearby.
Friendly staff, great breakfast.
This is an older hotel with a wonderful patina and shabby chic atmosphere. If you want new and shiny, this isn't the hotel for you but if you want warm, nostalgic "visit to your old aunt aggie" comfort, you will love this place
Best thing about staying at this hotel was the location. The sea was on its doorstep and only a few minutes walk away from Aberystwyth Cliff Railway. It is also not far from the train station and town, again only walking distance.
Excellent breakfast, staff were friendly and helpful room on the ground floor as I am disabled, so clean and bright lovely sea view would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Aberystwyth we would visit this hotel again A+++++
the view was excellent. Aberystwyth is a jewel in Wales crown. the location of the hotel on the beach front has the makings of an excellent stay. Unfortunately this was let down by the standards of the staff and service.
Perfect stay. The host was very attentive. The check in instructions were clear. Very clean cabin and had all the necessary needs. Just a short drive away from Aberystwyth. A beautiful place to see the sun set.
What a Gem of a Caravan. Very cosy and clean with all the facilities you need. Great views and only a 10 minute walk to the lovely Aberystwyth town. Extremely recommend.
a great location in Aberystwyth, a short walk from the shops and seafront. a good car park and ease of use to get into the hotel once checked in via keycard.
