Very cozy and lovely town, full of fields and gardens to walk, explore and love. Long path through the River Thames and some options to hire kayaks and stand up paddle. Lots of traditional pubs in the town center and very good cafes & restaurants with all kinds of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very friendly place for dogs including hotels and restaurants. I can't wait to come back.

We'd just missed the farmers market on Friday which was a pity. Science convention in the square on Saturday. A real hive of activity. Lots of lovely historical buildings and the Abbey gardens were lovely even on a wet march day.

We live in Leeds so the trip to Abingdon is one of our favourites .A small market town with lots of places to eat and lovely Oxfordshire countryside and wildlife. Nearby Bletchley Park is definitely worth a visit. There are lots of places to walk in Abingdon and lots of history to discover. Oxford is only a bus ride away and they are very regular .Would never drive there.

I arrived on a hot summer's afternoon and despite arriving early, I was able to sit out in the beautiful rear gardens and have a drink. The gardens run down to the Thames and are stunning. Parking was easy, the room was nice, spacious and well equipped including a desk for working. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, check out was easy. The area around the hotel is genuinely stunning and changed me impression of Abingdon.

I stay here regularly as I travel to Oxford monthly for work. The staff could not be more friendly or professional if they tried! Always greeted with a warm welcome and the hotel itself and the bedrooms are spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant is great! The amenities in the room are great! It’s sad but I really appreciate the iron and ironing board in the room… I always make use of it! Love staying here…. Beds are so comfy!

Lovely hotel, warm welcome and a nice spacious room with a comfortable bed. Good directions given for parking. Breakfast was amazing with friendly service and a good selection cooked to order. Abingdon itself is a very nice place to visit - we had a couple of good walks along the Thames path and hired a rowing boat for a couple of hours (from AV boats - also highly recommended!) which was good fun!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dinckley Court. It’s a beautiful property located as it is alongside the River Thames and the perfect spot for visiting Oxford and other nearby parts of Oxfordshire. There are many great options for eating nearby. We received a very warm welcome from Annette and our room was very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay at Dinckley Court again!

Good location for central Abingdon. Polite staff but room 1 above pub with music and noise until after midnight, so woken up when kicking out time. No tea and coffee facilities in room, but there was juice and water in fridge on the landing. Room very recently upgraded so it was comfortable and modern in an old creaky floorboards building. Felt it was expensive with no cooked breakfast.

Overall a very enjoyable stay. Very good parking by door, good sized utility and downstairs WC. Excellent, spacious and comfortable downstairs with lounge and kitchen dining areas and very large TV. Both bedrooms were very comfortable, one having an ensuite. Heating effective throughout. Oxford buses stop near but and Waitrose excellent. Abingdon Museum worth a visit.

Impeccable service, comfy rooms with warm bathrooms and nice set of hot chocolate and tea. It's been a beautiful escape from London and it's so close to the centre of Abingdon. One day it was sunny too so we walked until the Abingdon Science Park which consisted of a picturesque walk through the woods

Hotel was situated in central Abingdon, which was ideal for what we wanted to do. Our little dog was well catered for with a bed, bowls and treats. Our room was also on the ground floor which was more convenient with the dog. Breakfast was excellent and lots to choose from.
