NOT A LOT OVERALL
Arrival, note at premises asking to book in at the bar. Bar was up a staircase outside and was raining.
Not able to check in until 4 pm
Member of staff came back to the room with me to show me the key code to enter the rooms part of the pub.
It appertained that she didn’t have the correct key for the room we booked as it did not have the key code to enter reception.
I was surprised that she didn’t know it and again left my wife and I in the vestibule while she went for the correct key.
So not a great start.
Kettle was by the tv but needed to be plugged into a socket by the bed and tea and coffee were in short supply,
I have say that although the “staff” seemed a little disorganised they were in fact all very welcoming.
We had dinner in the bar/restaurant which was in fact really good.
Here though is the killer.
NO BREAKFAST UNTIL 10 to 11 am.
Checkout at 11.
We had to be away from the hotel at 9 because of our onward journey.
No other offer was made instead of a breakfast to see us on our way.
So,as pleasant as it was,it’s a no from us this time.
