We stayed in Ocean Vista on the site with two dogs. The caravan is a stones throw from the beach, so perfect for walking our dogs. Bellochantuy Beach is only a small caravan site so it is quiet. Perfect place to unwind. There is a hotel a minute or 2's short walk away with a bar and restaurant. Must pre book for meals. The caravan has 2 bathrooms which was great. Amazing shower. The caravan was clean, uncluttered, well equipped and comfortable. We have stayed at the site in different caravans a few times and always been happy. Good location for exploring Kintyre. The main town with all facilities is about 15 minutes drive away. Other small village stores are 5-10 minutes drive away. There are no footpaths on large sections of the main road..

The view from the window was impressive. The hotel is also a bar. Patrons gather in the living room and are wonderful people. Everyone is very helpful. The breakfast is more than ample to get your day off to a good start. Also lots of options. The town is small with lots of character. It’s about a 30 minute drive into Campbelltown. And there are a lot of attractions within a 30 minute drive. Multiple dinning options within a mile. All excellent food/service.
Boasting a beautiful location next to the harbor, with rolling hills in the distance, this hotel is 5 miles from Machrihanish in the heart of Campbeltown.

We were arriving a bit late. The lady working the desk called to make sure we were getting along alright and then inquired if we had anything to eat. She said the restaurant was closing right about when we planned to arrive. I told her not to worry about it and we went on ahead. Once we arrived she said she kept the restaurant open for us so we could have a meal. This is exceptional customer service and we are very grateful.

John was exceptionally attentive and helpful when I had a bronchitis and was considering seeking medical care. That was before I ever reached his property. My daughter and I were offered two rooms, both spacious, and well appointed there were a variety of snacks, yogurts, and drinks available in each room. The sitting room is lovely and filled with good reads.

Possibly the best place we have ever stayed. Chirstina was extremely helpful and funny! She went above and beyond to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

We loved the easy access to our room with 3 dogs and a massive walk in shower gave us that extra space. We loved the clean towels and also how special you made it for our dogs, extra doggie towels and blankets and chewies for all 3 :)))
We loved tea and coffee, chocs and biscuits and shampoos etc
We loved the restaurant options and easy access for the dogs plus being able to sit outside and enjoy beachfront views or inside sea views - awesome!!
Extra special to take the dogs out for beach walks although sad about one of the Canadian geese, and too many dead seagulls on the shore but overall beautiful seaside adventure. We travelled down as far as Saddler and got to tour with best mate Jane.
Enjoy the peace, quiet, clean natural lifestyle while you can and it becomes another tourist overcrowded beach.

Bellochantuy is a really small village, you almost have to have a car if you want to venture around. It is conveniently placed to explore the Kintyre peninsula, but not for someone who is looking for pubs and exploring different restaurants every night.
Our stay here was fantastic! We had a spotlessly clean room overlooking the beach and the sea and it was close to golf at Machrihanish Golf Club, where we were playing. Ian and Nick were amazing hosts and had a wonderful restaurant and bar with delicious food and drinks. They went out if their way to feed us later in the evening after our golf round and treated us like we were one of the family. We highly recommend.
A wonderful place to stay. Not sure why I booked one room through booking.com as I booked the other 3 rooms for family direct with the hotel. My 83 year old mother had an excellent accessible downstairs room and all of the family members said their rooms were very clean and comfortable as well.
I cannot praise the location, staff and ambiance of the hotel enough. Just wished we had stayed longer.
Lovely location right on the beach. Excellent food in the restaurant..Didn't have breakfast but I'm sure it was good,!, unfortunately our room was on the ground floor ,(room 9) facing the road with people walking past so had to keep the blind shut. The room was a good size with a large wet room.
Comfortable room with huge wet room bathroom. The food was really wonderful. We had dinner in the restaurant and a great cooked breakfast in the morning. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Wonderful location overlooking the bay at the back of the hotel where the restaurant is.
Location was very good, peaceful and relaxing.
Manager and staff are very welcoming. Relaxing on the rear terrace overlooking the beach and sea on a warm evening watching the sun go down is great.
Food is very good. Never slept in such a wide double bed. Would we stay again....yes.
Beach front location. Argyll Hotel right beside the small caravan site. The hotel has a bar and does amazing food. The beach is very quiet and clean golden sands. Roads are quiet and the Kintyre Peninsula is feels very secluded and not touristy. Dog friendly caravan and hotel.
Friendly welcome from nick and Ian who could not do enough for you, attentive staff, beautiful location, views stunning, clean lovely decorated room, evening meal and breakfast delicious. Overall great hotel and will return soon.
Such a lovely hotel and owners. Great location and accommodation. The food was outstanding and a great menu. Beautiful sunset views...a little cosy lounge area to read....and a comprehensive gin menu! Plus dog friendly.
An amazing hotel in a beautiful location. The owners couldn't do enough to make our visit perfect. The food was outstanding and it was lovely to have such a great variety of vegan food to choose from on the menu.
If you are lucky enough to get a room with a sea view it is worth paying the extra. This plus the view from the Dining Room make it a very special hotel. An excellent base to visit the Mull of Kintyre.
It’s a small hotel on a beautiful beach, Nick and Ian were so informative and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone looking to spend some time in Argyll, can’t wait to visit again.
Beautiful location on a sandy beach with views across to Islay. Owner and staff could not have been more helpful and the service and food was excellent. Wonderful stay.
