We liked everything. The lodge is stylish, modern, clean and safe. The bed is very comfortable and the shower was great. The owners are friendly and helpful. The little covered outside seating area gets the sun. The location is brilliant, right by the Caledonian Canal locks and on the Caledonia Way cycle route. It is a short stroll to the local amenities and to the shore of Loch Ness.
ideal as a mid-Scotland stopover (our usage)
we had planned our own picnic food - table& chairs outside (midges permitting!)
travel to major centres require a car

The whole house was beautifully clean and looked to be recently upgraded. Robes and sliders provided for the hot tub was a welcome surprise as was the hairdryer . Milk, cheese, eggs and tomatoes were provided on arrival and the kitchen cupboards held lots of extras . Bedrooms were very comfortable and the furniture appeared new . Great TV for the kids ! A lovely conservatory if the weather is cool. The kids particularly liked the upstairs play space and dolls house. All in all a great trip and would return anytime.
