Not a big city , nice places to eat, fantastic big country park , near to city centre, absolutely wonderful, donated by Andrew Carnegie. Easy rail or bus travel to major cities, fairly reasonable prices, but don’t use ScotRail app, get paper tickets.you can travel on the buses all day for £ 11.50 pp. by purchasing a east of Scotland day rider ticket, good value. Plenty of decent shops and supermarkets close to hotel, lovely big church and abbey ruins close by.

A gem of a city, and a secret that now the people of Edinburgh are cottoning onto. It's got a beautiful Heritage Quarter with loads of trendy bars, cafes and restaurants. Fantastic old buildings, a huge amount of history and one of the most beautiful parks in the world - Pittencrieff Park - is glorious. It really is like a mini-Edinburgh without the fuss and crowds, and such a lovely place to hang out.

We travelled to visit Knockhill Racing Circuit for a booked experience day. Arrived on a lovely sunny day so decided to visit Pittencrief park on our way to the hotel (Adamson Hotel in crossford) where we had a great walk around the park and encountered many of the beautiful sights including the squirrels. All in all a wonderful visit and we will definitely be back at some point in the (hopefully not too distant) future

Lovely modern looking hotel, few mins from the main hustle and bustle of dunfermline. Free parking is always a bonus to myself when i choose to stay somewhere. Was a great price we paid for a last min family trip. The check in staff was lovely and was super quick in bringing a travel cot round to the toom when there wasnt already one there like we requested. Even set it up for us which was super nice! The heating was on so the rolm was lovwly and warm, the wifi worked really well. The room was fairly big also.

Breakfast was fabulous, free range sausages, bacon and eggs cooked to perfection by owner Brent. Cereal, juice, fruit and yoghurt on offer as well as toast tea and coffee all for £8.50 per head. Although we travelled from Newcastle to Inverkeithing station there was Dunfermline station right behind Auld Mill. Short taxi ride though. Pub 15 minute walk from hotel doing excellent food as no evening meals available though there is a small friendly bar in hotel. I will definitely be back to Auld Mill in near future.

Easy to find with plenty of parking, simple booking-in process, tidy clean room with good facilities, supermarket across the road and a restaurant 5 mins walk away. Dunfermline city centre is an excellent place to have a wander around with a lovely park and some very historic buildings and streets. A great place to stay whilst attending motorcycle racing at the nearby Knockhill Race Circuit.

The property is located right on the Fife coastal path, making it very convenient. The full Scottish breakfast was splendid, and very filling. The room featured a beautiful view of the sunset over the Firth, heated floor in the bathroom, and a very very comfortable bed. Also, the shower had a massage head which was very welcome after the long walk up from Kincardine.

We stayed in a lovely, great sized family room. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Truly wonderful breakfast & the service in the breakfast room was excellent. Bar staff were also very friendly. Excellent hotel and will hopefully stay there next year, when the England v Scotland bowls charity international, takes place again in Dunfermline.

Our whole stay was totally idyllic and all the staff were not just friendly, but they all went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. The hotel is beautifully decorated to reflect the original grandeur of this gorgeous 200 year old house, and our bedroom was exquisite and scrupulously clean, as well as very quiet.

The staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. The restaurant was very good and there is a great rolls place just up the road as well as a chips shop. You can walk to Dunfermline in about 30 minutes using the Fife Pilgrim's Way, through the countryside. The room was clean and comfortable!
