We really enjoy our stay at this B&B! Sofia, the owner, was always on top of everything and sending us information ahead of time. We arrived late at night and if it wasn't for her directions, I am not sure we would have found the place. She also gave us recommendations for dinner in town. Loved the large room and extra comfortable bed. Great spa style shower :)!! Give it a 11/10!!

We didn't get to stay very long in Fort Augustus, but very much enjoyed the time we were able to spend. It's in a lovely area and was very walkable, near to lots of great places to visit within short driving distance. There was lots of shopping, but affordable restaurant options seemed more limited--everything closed very early. After dark, everything shut down and it was very quiet, which was great for peaceful sleep. I organize group travel and would consider staying longer with a group for future trips.

Lovely area, right on the end of Loch Ness with terrific views. The Canal Locks are great to watch in operation, with all types of boats going through. Good restaurants and nice pub along the canal. Good central place to visit other areas, Inverness, Mallaig and Fort William.

Situated at the end of Loch Ness with a steep set of locks which form the start of the Caledonian Canal, Fort Augustus is a must visit destination if you are in the area. There is a good sized car park and an excellent choice of places to eat. We had an excellent meal at the Chinese restaurant. Lots of opportunities for boat trips along the loch and some nice shops for souvenirs.

We stayed here only one night whilst doing the Great Glen Way although it seemed like a beautiful place and there seemed to be many other things to do in the area. Lots of options for dinner (compared with other towns along the way).

Fort Augustus is a great spot to attractions in the area and easy drive for location upto 2hours away, like Glencoe, Fort William, Glenfinnin Viaduct, Aviemore ski fields, Urquart Castle, Inverness, Skye. Cruising or walk along Loch Ness are brilliant.
The town is gorgeous with many good eateries within walking distance or a short drive away.
Locals are friendly, inviting and engaging. I would live there if I could!

Didn't see much of Fort Augustus really.
Didn't see much of Fort Augustus really. Walked around a bit in the evening when we arrived. Only there for 2 days and used as a base for trips around Loch Ness - Urquart Castle, Culloden Battlefield. Which were all great.
Arrived on a Friday night after 8pm in early November. Only places still serving food were a very expensive Chinese restaurant in a hotel and a place called The Moorings which appeared to be a kebab shop that dabbled in everything else. Unfortunately, they should stick to one thing and really try to nail that. We ordered the worst eat out Pizzas we've ever eaten - worse than home brand supermarket frozen and they were very expensive - £15+ each. Even the local chip shop was closed, at 8.30pm on a Friday! OK, we didn't come for the late night fast food. Bring your own or eat a good lunch.
The hostel was ideal for a stop over, it was very clean and had friendly staff. The location was great for being able to walk into Fort Augustus and Loch Ness. Very quiet as well with a good breakfast selection. We really appreciated the packed lunch option. I managed to accidently book the wrong date and they managed to last minute update the booking with only a couple of weeks notice. The communication was great.
The original property and abbey are beautiful. The location at the base of Loch Ness is special, though there’s not much going on or available in the adjacent town of Fort Augustus.
Some of the shared facilities are very nice - the pool (for which you need a booking!?), the games room, the giant chess and the outdoor kids playing area.
The guest house is clean, modern and well kept with a lounge eating area for breakfast facing the garden and hills beyond. The room was clean and comfy as was the bed. The complimentary breakfast included porridge, cereals, toast, ham, cheese, yoghurt, juice and teas plus coffee, so just enough to get you going in the morning.
Great location-a short walk, on a sidewalk, from Fort Augustus.
Comfortable and large room with huge jacuzzi tub.
Good instructions to access room. Breakfast left outside door in morning.
Driving from the north, it’s easy to miss the turn to the B&B.
Lots of restaurants nearby and fun to watch boats go through the locks.
The property was excellent, no staff, all self service, get code sent for door & room, great view from window over the Fort Augustus bridge, location perfect, right on Caledonian Canal in village centre, 10 minutes walk down to Loch Ness, good Pubs, good food, perfect location, great facilities and very clean. Recommended.
The room was in the basement of an old school building. The building itself was incredibly unique and perfectly situated on the banks of Loch Ness. The rooms were spacious. We were in a three bedroom/two bathroom apartment. And even though we were below ground, the rooms had very tall windows that looked out of doors.
Greeting staff were very helpful, location is fantastic in Fort Augustus Lochness, right beside the locks, pubs and loch cruises. Spar petrol station 2 minute walk away sells pretty much everything at fair prices. Great location to watch the boats navigate the canal or explore wider if you wish
A nice little find for one night whilst we were passing through the area. Immaculately clean, friendly staff and in very close proximity to the little town of Fort Augustus from which you can take a boat trip out onto Loch Ness. Impressed by bathroom facilities - good size.
Wonderful B&B Guesthouse...Very good host in Alasdair who was very helpful...Nice clean room and a great breakfast cooked fresh for you...Located on the south end of Loch Ness just a couple of minutes walk from Fort Augustus...Would Certain Recommend.
This is a lovely property. The room is extremely comfortable with an incredible attention to detail. Anne is so hospitable. And Fort Augustus is a perfect location from which to explore Fort William, Loch Ness, Inverness, and the Isle of Skye.
The resort lies very close to the town center, it was convenient to let the car there and discover Fort Augustus or having a drink at the restaurant. The pod was a first experience for us but after a while we got used to the size.
Communal area was a lovely large space and the dining area was well stocked with breakfast cereals and tea, milk, coffee etc.
It is extremely close to the centre of Fort Augustus with lovely walks along the canal path.
I was happy with our bedroom as it had been recently refurbished , unlike the communal areas of the hotel.
It is in a lovely setting with a nice wee walk to the town of Fort Augustus the Fab views all around.
What a beautiful place to stay! The location could not be better, close to Fort Augustus, right at Loch Ness. Those views! We loved staying there, the owners were super friendly.
