Bath/Shower were amazing, bed was comfortable. Location was perfection; trip out the front door and you're at the train station or the general location for a Busy Bus tour. Staff were wonderful and when we arrived earlier than check-in they held our luggage so we could just skip off to the zoo right away. Breakfast was good too!

Staff were very amenable and it was an easy hotel to access. Current renovation work meant we swapped rooms as initially all we had was scaffolding at the window. Breakfast was just adequate but definitely not great value.

Ask the reception for a quiet room, mine was overlooking the M56, luckily I had some earplugs with me so that filtered out the noise. Its ok but would rate the hotel as being on the same level as a Premier Inn, it used to be a more higher rating than a Premier Inn but standards are not what they used to be. Food was ok but don't expect 4* restaurant class food. I cannot comment on the other facilities as was only there for one night

Garden City is an awful place.

Garden City is an awful place. Luckily, this hotel isn’t really in Garden City but conveniently placed just off the A55. The nearest village is Hawarden, which is lovely - pubs, farm shop, Gladstone Library. But really this hotel is a base to explore Chester (15 mins drive) or the North Wales coast.

On arrival staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful.

On arrival staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were extremely busy but the rooms were quiet. The room was of a good size and well equipped with hairdryer and ironing board etc. I found the mattress hard but this may just be personal preference. The bath was very slippery without a mat or rough surface for showering. This should be rectified as it could be dangerous. Tea and coffee were provided but these were very basic. It would have been nice to have had more of a choice. We were visiting family in Hawarden but also had a trip to the Blue Planet Aquarium and Cheshire Oaks planned. The hotel is Overall I felt it offered good value for money.

Convenient hotel and friendly staff. Nice set up. However the accommodation was of a very poor standard. Handy place to stay in terms of location. But I wouldn’t recommend if you have very high standards of cleanliness.

The room was a great size, there were 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children. The kids slept comfortably on the sofa bed. The main bed was very big. Clean room. I could have easily accommodated an extra kid. We were going to bring my little niece but the hotel suggested 2 rooms. I always use a kettle in a room as I like my tea, and I was very pleased to see no scale. A real pet peeve of mine....

The hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful, attentive and friendly. We checked in with two young children at around 2am after travelling and it was all very smooth. It was also really easy to use the chat function on the app to request a later check out, as we were all more tired than expected in the morning!

Hotel guests take second place, gym full of old local people, restaurant is really expensive and always full of football enjoyers, can't really say it's guest focused. No food after 9.30 pm. Overall, room was ok. Just don't expect too much
