Great location with interesting views and fantastic access to walking trails. The rooms are nice and provide everything needed. The restaurant and bar are well stocked and comfortable. I will recommend to both my friends and family in the USA as well as my local family in Scotland.

Good for weekend break close to town Glasgow fort parkhead forge and Cumbernauld shopping centre and retail park. Enjoyed our stay been there couple times hope to go bk soon. Staff very friendly . Food is banging aswell.

With the canal running straight through the town there was...
With the canal running straight through the town there was ample opportunity to have a stroll & many cafes, bars etc for the weary traveller. The Park at the bottom end of town was lovely & the war memorials & historic connections Appenine Wall, Romans etc was interesting. The large children's play area was busy & the children seemed to enjoy the facilities. The main street is quite long & the variety of shops was very pleasing with virtually now boarded up premises.John A CUnited Kingdom

Everything seemed modern or recently refurbished, and room had all the usual facilities, with good bathroom/shower. There is private (barriered) parking adjacent, which is worth knowing ahead of arrival. The town itself is quite historic and great for strolling about, with a range of places to eat, but the hotel food was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The room was clean and confortable, powerfull shower (always important) and hot drink facility. I had my evening meal in the restaurant and the restaurant manager is very focused on making sure everything is spot on. Breakfast was the same with the team making sure they kept up the high standards. . Basically this place sets the benchmark. Many thanks.

The hotel is recently renovated but keeps snippets of its history. We had booked 3 bedrooms, as we have a big family. Unfortunately the beds weren't suitable for two members of our group - both over 6ft. In general the rooms were a little snug, as we didn't spend too much time in the room it was manageable. It is conveniently situated near cycle routes and can store bicycles securely overnight making it an excellent stopover for cyclists. This was our third visit and we will be back.
