The Peat Inn, nestled in the picturesque countryside of Fife, is a true gem for those seeking a luxurious and gastronomic experience.
Our stay in one of their exquisite split level suite was nothing short of exceptional. The tastefully decorated suite radiated elegance and provided all the necessary amenities for a relaxing and indulgent experience. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room was impressive, from the plush bedding to the opulent bathroom fixtures.
A major highlight of my stay was the delectable evening meal. The Peat Inn's Michelin-starred restaurant serves up culinary masterpieces that tantalize the taste buds and leave you craving for more. Each dish on the seasonal menu was beautifully presented and featured fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, showcasing the region's rich produce. The knowledgeable staff provided impeccable service and were always ready to offer insightful wine pairing recommendations to complement the exquisite flavors.
The breakfast was equally delightful, served in the comfort of my room. A lavish spread of fresh fruit, pastries, marmalade, honey and jams accompanied by freshly brewed coffee and tea made for a delightful start to the day.
Another noteworthy feature was the stunning garden view from the bedroom. The meticulously landscaped garden, adorned with vibrant flowers and lush greenery, added an extra touch of charm to the already picturesque setting.
In conclusion, I highly recommend a stay at The Peat Inn for those seeking luxury accommodation and an unforgettable dining experience. This Fife treasure has mastered the art of combining refined elegance with warm hospitality, making it a truly memorable destination.

Breakfast was good and good service - room ok but could have had drawers instead of open shelves - dinner was fine but could have more of a selection

Breakfast, absolutely delicious 😋
We had bought fish and chips, following the recommendation of our host and we were able to eat it in their breakfast room and even given wine glasses

Everything about Matt's B&B is gorgeous. From the warm welcome, to the cozy room, the delicious breakfast to the stunning views over the sea and the sound of the waves you get when you've just woke up. I love this place and like to thank you Matt for your outstanding hospitality.

The Monturpie guest house was the highlight of our stay but the whole area east of Largo is stunning. Little working fishing villages along the coast are beautiful. St Andrews is most interesting with lots to see and do. Particularly enjoyed the castle. A day in Faulkland is worthwhile, also a visit to Scotland’s secret bunker. So much more to see, we shall be back.

Small quiet village but as I have a car it was a great base for visiting Dundee about 20mins drive & St.Andrews was about 12mins drive away. Lower Largo is 5mins away with a lovely beach & there you will also find the Robinson Crusoe statue & a lovely cafe beside the beach which does lovely scones. We also visited Anstruther & had a delicious fish supper at The Wee Chippy which had won an award for its fish & chips every year since 2020.

The beach at lower Largo and the walk from the car park (...
The beach at lower Largo and the walk from the car park (where the toilets were open) to the local pub (The Railway Arms) where you could get a lovely cool drink. Also I would recommend the Upper Largo Hotel for a meal (all within social distancing COVID 19 guidelines). We also visited the national trust gardens nearby (Kellie Castle and Hill of Tarvit), the gardens at Kellie Castle were beautiful and whilst I was advised that staff had been furloughed these gardens were well maintained, gardens at Hill of Tarvit were not quite as well maintained but given the current circumstances this was understandable.
