Enjoyed the pubs, shop, and tea room; plus the local walks.

Enjoyed the pubs, shop, and tea room; plus the local walks. Unfortunately like much of England currently the walks suffered from the amount of litter particularly the amount of dog poo and full dog poo bags discarded in all sorts of places such as dry stone walls

    Malham is absolutely beautiful.

Malham is absolutely beautiful. I can imagine it is really busy during the summer so October was an excellent time to visit. Malham Cove is stunning and a short walk from the village. There are lots of beautiful walks right from the village. We started and ate at The Lister Arms. Highly recommend this pub. The food is fantastic and the staff very welcoming. Loved the bar woth the open log fire after a long days hiking. The fish and chips were top notch. The Moules Marinere delicious. The beds very comfortable and the rooms stylish and cosy.

Malham is a beautiful old village with fantastic walking on the doorstep. The village is extremely picturesque everywhere and Gordale Scar,Janet's Foss and Malham Cove all provide the perfect circular walk from the village that can be done easily in 2/3 hours max and each place is unique and stunning! An absolute gem ! It gets busy obviously but early mornings or late afternoons and dusk are perfect times to see these places .Dusk walking is stunning here catching the late light .Paths are all well maintained and easy to follow with fantastic signage everywhere for those who are new to the area and the landscape is ancient and very interesting.

    Malham walks are a must.

Malham walks are a must. Two main walks that I did were both great. The malham cove walk is challenging and you need plenty of energy and the second walk to gordale scar/Janet's foss is a very easy walk and a must too. It is also good for dogs. The two pubs are welcoming and friendly. Easy to get around and the old barn cafe has lovely staff and sensible prices.

The hotel is in a beautiful location nearby several great spots for exploring such as Janet's Foss and Malham Cove. The hotel itself was exceptional, the rooms were spotless and the owners greeted us at the door. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating, and best of all the food is excellent (and fully vegan!). We had dinner when we arrived, breakfast in the morning before exploring, and came back for an afternoon tea before we left, all of which were spectacular! Definitely visiting again soon.

The room was clean and well presented. There was lovely shortbread with our tea and coffee making and you got fresh milk. The breakfast and meals were excellent and service brilliant. Can recommend the granola they make at breakfast. I especially liked the range of real ales. Did the malham walk and my daughter tells me that they do a good picnic on request. We will definitely recommend and return to this pub hotel.

This was our first time in Malham and we came across the hotel when searching for the classic malham walk. The hotel was the perfect place to stay, and have dinner and drinks. The staff were really friendly and although we did no book a table beforehand, when they checked us in they also squeezed us into the restaurant for that evening. The food was really nice and the service was great!

Stayed overnight on a long distance walk. It's close enough to Malham and the Pennine Way goes right thru it. Perfect location. And the FOOD was WOW. Better than either of the pubs in Malham and the real ale selection was impressive. Breakfast was superb as well. Nothing to complain about here.

Spacious room and bath in what might be the most picturesque inn we've ever stayed. The facilities were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The atmosphere of the inn, pub, and patio were so lovely and the location in Malham was perfectly situated to walk to Malham Cove.

Very dog friendly, staff were very helpful and the right level of staff. It was the little things that made the stay good, from fresh milk in the room, loads of tea and coffee in the room, mugs. Cushions for the dogs to lie on in the rooms and around the hotel...just fantastic
